Since high schools (at least in NY and NJ) can’t offer athletic scholarships, saying you have an “offer” to a high school comes off a bit awkward. Let everyone know what HS you decide to go to, but don’t post about multiple offers like you might see for college.

Remember that your worst play (or crash out or quitting on a play) may be front and center in a teammate’s or opponent’s highlight tape. Coaches see that too, not just the plays you want them to see.

Coaches can also watch full game tape (not just your highlights). If you are interested in playing in college, this is a key important setting to turn on!
3
5) update info on all the menus: basic, athletic and academic (items with R in a circle are viewable only by recruiters and only if you complete step 6–>) 6) on Recruitment menu toggle “Recruitable” This lets college coaches see your contact info, coach’s contact info …

TIPS: - share a copy of video, not the link, on X and when sending to coaches (the link may require watching an ad first) - keep it under 3 min (coaches get bored fast) - put best plays first and don’t be repetitive - leave off music, text, slo-mo and other fluff - add good title
9
22) Wait a minute for highlight to render 23) Play it and make sure it looks good: click edit to make any last minute edits) 23) You can share a link to the video or copy of the video (via text or save a copy) 24) Save a copy and edit it in photos to prepare to share on X
12
18) Once all clips are in order and clipped, add highlight circle to first play and any other plays where coaches may not know where you are 19) Add title slide to front with name, position, grad yr and description 20) Optional: at title slide to end with contact info 21) Publish
2
15) put your plays in order (always best plays first) and only keep the best of any one type of play (eg only best screen pass to each side: don’t need multiple) 16) trim each clip again and re-edit once in final order 17) keep total length to <3 min (don’t need every clip)
10
11) Pick a color theme 12) Add a good title (like your name, grad year and “first 5 games”) 13) Click the “+” button in lower right corner to add video clips 14) Select all the game highlight clips you just added (I like to add them all and then you can remove some later)
7
8) Create highlights for every game 9) Once all highlights render, go back to home and find the “highlights” button. All the highlights you created will show up under “Game Highlights” 10) We will be creating a new “Premium Highlight” (click orange button on bottom)
8
6) Once done editing, hit PUBLISH 7) It takes a minute to render and show up. Once it does, watch the clip and if it’s not perfect you can go back and edit it (to remove text and slo-mo for example) TIP: add a highlight circle sparingly (1st play and only if you change spots)
