I am begging you all to look at the entire image. Alternate site information enclosed. I put work into this!
I know of a R congressman who went around the magnetometers at the Capitol when they were up and all were required to pass through. When USCP tried to stop them, they assaulted the officer and kept going.
Once in the middle of the night I was on the side of the road with a driver who did this to themselves, getting their information. Then I hear the terrible crunch and grinding of metal and plastic, look over, and another driver did the exact same thing, behind the first.
Sigh.
New: Low-info voters, who put Trump in the White House, now look even more anti-Trump than high-info voters, and give Dems bigger margins on the generic ballot.
1 out of 3 Trump voters who can't name the party in charge of Congress now back Dems for 2026

Vance endlessly tone polices Democrats. He and his buddies got private citizens fired from their jobs for making jokes about Charlie Kirk. But now @JDVance tells REPUBLICANS disgusted by @VivekGRamaswamy's ad about Amy Acton to "stop whining." Vance believes in nothing.
Flavored sparkling water is truly the constellation of beverages. When you experience it, If you squint your eyes and apply a healthy dose of your imagination you can kinda see how it got its name.
"Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. ... Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies."
Homicides aren't a useful statistic here. A murder is just a shooter who got lucky (or an unlucky victim); the difference between a murder and a shooting is a mm tilt of the wrist holding the gun. Shootings measures the frequency of extralegal lethal force, which is the point.
Wrote about DC’s flagship violence intervention efforts, which have had glimmers of success but now leave almost no one happy. Researchers say they didn’t work, and now violence interrupters who risked their lives feel discarded by the government, too. washingtonsun.com/metro/dc-v…

Dawn French is still not over Rachel Weisz ending up with Daniel Craig, and she’s making zero effort to pretend otherwise.
She casually drops that she had already decided Daniel was going to be her husband. In her head the decision was made. Then Rachel showed up and took him. The bitterness is so open it’s almost refreshing. No polite filter, no “I’m so happy for them.” Just pure, theatrical resentment delivered with perfect timing.
Rachel’s defence is even funnier. She doesn’t deny it or try to smooth things over. She just admits she has a “Mrs. Daniel Craig” sun visor in her car. Like she’s been driving around with evidence of the crime the whole time.
Dawn’s final counter-offer seals it: “You keep the visor. I’ll take Daniel.”
The whole exchange is messy, petty, and completely entertaining. Two grown women publicly negotiating custody of Daniel Craig like it’s a divorce settlement, while Graham just sits there letting it happen. It’s the kind of unfiltered celebrity nonsense that makes these shows worth watching.
No one’s trying to look graceful. They’re just being ridiculous, and it’s perfect.
Not for the first time grateful to live in a region largely immune to natural disasters.

Hi — creator of the map here.
The main reason the Mid-Atlantic doesn’t get hurricane landfalls is due to the north-south orientation of the coastline. Hurricanes at that latitude tend to curve back out to sea from cold fronts and the jet stream. However, the Mid-Atlantic still does get impacts. Storms like ISABEL 2003 make landfall in North Carolina, then pass through the region via inland.
Also, I made a more updated version to account for 2025.

Reply guy: omg I saw ur post and couldn't care less, which is why I'm writing out this diatribe and sending it to you. AI mommy why you do this
Grok: uhh the site gives you content you are likely to respond to and you...responded to this. So.
Riots are uncoordinated violence for its own sake, typically commenced in the spur of the moment.
The 6th was a largely coordinated, pre-planned effort to thwart the transfer of power by targeting members of Congress and the Vice President with violence. Insurrection.
Reporter: “You were one of 22 Republicans who voted against honoring the Capitol Police for their activities on January 6th. You were asked about that, and you said because Joe Biden made it political.”
Biggs: “They elevated it up to insurrection, which is treasonous…What it was is, you had people criminally trespassing, you had people who were rioting. That's what it was.”
