Abigail Spanberger’s energy “plan” proves that Virginia Democrats are totally unserious about lowering costs.
Spanberger wants to force families to pay $127 BILLION more because she refuses to repeal RGGI & VCEA.
This is a direct carbon tax on families, plain and simple.
Democrats are affordability frauds.
A promise was made during sentencing to the victim and their family. HB 1042 is an anti-victim bill that would blindside victims of release & disregard their pain & trauma. A murderer/sex offender could serve a much shorter sentence b/c of medical parole or resentencing.
PA is an energy powerhouse.🔋

HB 1042 puts the needs of criminals before victims. We can no longer have a soft-on-crime attitude here in PA. If you committed crimes, you should have to do the time without a “get-out-of-jail-free” card.

That's why we have cut more than $3B of wasteful spending from @GovernorShapiro's budget proposals – including more than $1B this year.

The progressive @PaHouseDems leadership allowed nearly 1,200 second degree murder convicts loose on the streets by refusing to pass SB 1400 & attempting to pass their own soft-on-crime bill.

🔵NY Gov. Kathy Hochul opted her state into the FSTC after reviewing the new guidelines & has confidence that the program will bring millions of additional dollars to NY families w/o taking any money from public schools.

Instead of unleashing PA’s energy potential @GovernorShapiro has joined the race to the bottom by enforcing progressive policies like🔵states around us. If he continues to push renewable mandates & carbon taxes, PA'ians face higher energy bills & the risk of black & brownouts.
The FSTC program allows individuals to donate up to $1,700 a year & married couples up to $3,400 to a scholarship-granting organization & receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit.
It's time to opt in so that contributions from PA’ians don't go to students in other states!
Judges don’t have sentencing guidelines for 2nd degree murder convictions because @PaHouseDems put murderers & sex offender’s needs ahead of victims. It’s time for them to put PA’ians 1st & pass SB 1400 so that prosecutors have a clear sentencing structure.
Thanks to @GovernorShapiro’s PJM price cap, MD & VA remain reliable on PA for energy while prioritizing net 0 policies & blocking energy generation from more reliable energy sources. PA needs an all of the above energy strategy not policies & price caps that raise energy prices.
Thankfully @PASenateGOP held the line during this year’s budget preventing @GovernorShapiro & PA Dems from increasing taxes on PA'ians.
Just look at the🔵states around us.
🔵NJ’s ’26-’27 budget total: $60.7B
🔵MD’s ’26-‘27 budget total: $71.8B
🔵VA’s ’26-‘27 budget total: $103B
It's disturbing that @PAHouseDems HB 1042 puts criminals 1st & victims last.
Their bill would allow a non-remorseful murderer or a violent sexual predator to be released for having asthma/COVID through Medical parole/"get out of jail free card."
