Reflecting this gentle morning on a life well lived. Lloyd Robertson passed yesterday . I worked with Lloyd at CTV for almost 25 years. As a young reporter on the road , it was the thought of Lloyd as your anchor which kept you grounded. It felt like family . A kind & good man .

Eddie Goldenberg was a brilliant human being . I first met Eddie in the 70’s when I was a young reporter and he started to work for Monsieur Chretien. Little did I ever think I would one day be working in the PMO with Eddie. Our friendship grew. He loved Canada. We loved him !
This is how I remember a dear friend, and a mentor. Marilyn Trenholme Counsell in her kitchen in Sackville NB. Marilyn passed away at 92. A Senator ,a former NB Lieutenant Governor , a cabinet minister. Marilyn was everything , a doctor , a literacy advocate . She loved everybody

Spent many days on the political journalistic road with the Globe & Mail’s Hugh Winsor. A fellow New Brunswicker , a story teller , Hugh was a wonderful road companion .He talked so much , I think he talked in his sleep. Those were the days my friend. Hugh was 87 when he passed.
