Thanks I agree with this and will be more meaningful for my autistic son to be teaching him we need to physically distance when out .

I'd prefer if we called it 'physical distancing' not 'social distancing'. Lockdown has illuminated that so many people need social contact. We need to think about being socially connected (rather than distant) and follow the guidelines re physical distance.

A quote from the parent of an #autistic boy we work with who had had #Mentalhealth issues and #suicidal thoughts. Mental health issues are common to many #autistic children & young people including #anxiety & #depression finding the right #therapy is important #MentalHealthWeek
So proud my Eddie is doing his best during lockdown though he misses his wonderful @HillingdonManor school so much. But he joyously waters the garden plants everyday #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
