User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.

balance is an artwork with liquid provenance. credits are individual works made from cyan, magenta, yellow and black. each has a rating. 80 credits are burned to compose a statement. the collector chooses the arrangement. the ratings are added together. a statement can be permanently locked to release its rating as transferable balance. each wallet has an artwork displaying its balance and inherited colors. as tokens move, color moves with them. as balances meet, colors mix. empty the wallet and the artwork remains. this video follows 10,000 balance through six wallets. the total stays the same. its distribution and appearance change. chance. choice. consequence. an expanding surface. a finite supply.

I like the idea of raising capital to trade on @papertrade_xyz and because of the way it functions it looks like the strategy of @paperdao_xyz is to show up early with size and trade from the first block while the pool is still small. Going to apply and see if I can get in on one of the three whitelist tiers.

And a good day for NetNet Capital Management, the largest holders of equities and stable coins on @RobinhoodCrypto
Tokenization is coming to America. Thanks to the SEC’s leadership, Americans can start to reap the benefits of tokenization: instant settlement, 24/7 trading, fractionalization by default and more. It’s a good day for US innovation.

I'm seeing a lot of comparisons between @NetNetCap + @standard_rsv I agree that Standard Reserve is not Robinhood Chain’s first experiment with "reserve currencies" NetNet Capital launched earlier with similar central-bank language, but the two protocols represent different economic models i) NetNet is closer to an onchain reserve fund ii) Standard Reserve is closer to an autonomous monetary economy The Federal Reserve provides the real-world benchmark, although neither crypto protocol has its legal authority, economic mandate or ability to issue sovereign currency... so I've pulled together a comparison table for reference (see screenshot) The most important difference is the relationship between the currency + its reserves: 1) NetNet describes NET as a reserve share. Its emissions formula prevents issuance from reducing backing below one USDG of onchain risk-free value per NET Staking distributions respond to NET’s premium over NAV: - At or below NAV, emissions fall to zero - As the premium increases, the distribution rate rises - At a premium of 1.75x or higher, distributions reach the maximum rate - A standing bid can purchase and retire NET below NAV NetNet currently reports approximately $13 million of onchain risk-free value (predominantly USDG and USDG deployed through Morpho) It also reports a separate RWA Sleeve worth approximately $4 million, containing tokenized equities + other positions; this Sleeve is held in a disclosed manager-controlled Safe and sits outside the core onchain backing calculation 2) Standard Reserve’s assets play a different role STANDARD does not represent a proportional share of its expansion vault, contraction vault, tokenized gold or protocol-owned liquidity The reserves are monetary-policy tools rather than assets that establish a calculable NAV/token This means NetNet can be analyzed using a relatively familiar framework: = [NET price vs NAV, reserve growth & future dilution] Standard Reserve requires a more reflexive valuation: = [STANDARD demand vs emissions, Branch expansion, token burns, reserve accumulation and eventual banker exits] 3) The comparison with the Federal Reserve is therefore "conceptual" The Federal Reserve adjusts interest rates & financial conditions to pursue maximum employment and stable prices across the US economy. Its policy decisions are made by the FOMC using broad economic data Standard Reserve replaces that "committee" with a narrow market signal: net ETH flow through one liquidity pool NetNet replaces it with another market signal: the premium of NET’s market price over its reserve backing All three systems can expand & contract What changes is the objective: 1) The Federal Reserve manages the price and availability of sovereign money 2) NetNet manages the backing and distributions of an onchain reserve share 3) Standard Reserve manages issuance and exit incentives within a closed token economy I'd emphasise that this distrinct objective is essential... The comparison of the "Standard Reserve" as an onchain "Federal Reserve" is a useful headline to enable many to grasp the broad concept But economically, it's a new experiment in using market flows to automate monetary policy that could pave the way for future economic policy onchain So I'd at least pay attention to these new primitives emerging! they could form the foundations of something A LOT bigger... if they don't capture this themselves
My initial estimates for @standard_rsv were conservative It's already hit $47m market cap ($470m FDV) within 24 hours following a smooth launch on RobinHood (RH) Some observations: 1) 1.2M STANDARD ($560k at peak) was burned in the first auction & I'd anticipate similar levels today 2) charters + branch licence auctions minted out in minutes; insane demand to participate + honestly trying to scramble around to find enough STANDARD to mint is wild 3) We're currently in an expansion phase of the protocol, with 3k ETH in net inflows; so issuance multiplier is just 1.00x (adjusts after epoch 2) 4) one guy burned his branch on day 1; for a loss on the value of STANDARD accrued vs the mint price of 0.15 ETH 5) 2.1M standard will be issued this epoch (~3 days) ; there will be capacity for 8,891 branch licences =[(1000*9)-100-9]; so 89 more days of branch licence auctions assuming nobody else burns their charter... but it's likely it'll land somewhere in a month with participants exiting 6) talking of exits... timing it at the peak during expansion will be optimal if you don't intend to play until the end as the tax kicks in during "contraction" so it may be net positive to play to the end depending on size... that tax gets paid 50% to bankers + 50% to LP 7) the liquidity on the pool is pretty nuts... $8m?! If you're a trader and you spend time understanding the mechanics of the protocol this could be a very lucrative asset to trade in size 8) things could get very interesting when entire banking portfolios can be OTC'd to other participants (currently soul bound)... 9) there's also a holder bonus you need to account for... + it also says bank charter auctions open at a later date suggesting this is JUST season 1... will genesis charters hold a premium if this becomes a much larger economy? x) Pay attention to how the branch licence mint goes today. I'm anticipating a similar level of craziness... the auction opens up at 2x yesterday's clearing price (2 x 11,800 STANDARD) so you could see 2M+ STANDARD burned in a day if demand holds... that's insane deflation on a token that is issuing ~700k / day I’m waiting for the licence price to fall or the economics to improve before adding another Branch But I’ll be holding my Charter for the long term and reassessing expansion based on the live price-to-issuance economics I have a feeling this protocol may have a reasonable chance of becoming successful multi month; so pay attention sooner rather than later cc: @vladtenev @fern ; they've built an entire economy (arguably superior to the Federal Reserve) on your blockchain
