y'all should probably read more than fearmongering shit
you need to enable community and *apply* for Discovery before the server messages can be found on Google
this is actually a good thing for many, many, *many* support servers
If you've ever searched for a specific speedrun trick, someone has likely already answered it in a channel somewhere, in one of 63,000 Discoverable Servers. We’re updating Discoverable Servers to make those answers easier to find. View article

why is malwarebytes fear mongering about this?
go read the discord announcement but tldr: if you post messages in a public server that's on the discover tab in discord and has 1000+ people, it will be indexed without usernames or avatars on search engines

Tons of braindead morons in the replies thinking this exposes their private messages, while in reality it's just public servers, which is actually one of the better changes, Discord has made a large chunk of the internet unsearchable.
Discord will soon make public server messages searchable on Google
The feature will be enabled by default for US adults, but users can opt out in their privacy settings
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Missing context: only applies to messages posted after the update, in public channels of discoverable servers.
No private servers or DMs.
Indexed messages won’t show usernames or avatars.
Admins can opt out entire servers; users can opt out their own messages.

In the files for Mario Kart World, a map called "TEXTURE_MAP_DLCPACK1" was found, could this be for future DLC? 👀

users: Discord sucks because it’s not on search engines and I don’t want to join a server and it’ll become lost media
Discord: ok we’ll make public servers indexed and searchable
users: 😡
