Wow, I can't tell ANYTHING about this guy's political beliefs from this chart... What a totally unbiased assessment of intelligence!
Grok picked the quadrants...

my "i did not marry my sister" shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by the shirt
Trump: I did not marry my sister. I had two lovely; I have one left. Elizabeth. She's great. But I never proposed to them. They’re beautiful, but I was never—I was never particularly attracted to either of them.

Implying your sexuality should influence your politics is the most cucked thing imaginable. Like if you're going to condone hating a group, at least fucking COMMIT to it. Say "men aren't marginalized, so hating them is okay!" Say what you mean and deal with the pushback.
say what you will about her but halimede keeps it very real when it's time to lock in

How is this even meant to work with ranked choice voting? Won't most confused voters just be like "I don't know which Dan Sullivan is real, I'll just rank them #1 and #2"? The strategy is as bizarre as it is shameful.
Holy. Shit. The NYT is reporting that despite their denials, Mary Peltola's staff and Democratic operatives flew all over Alaska in secret to find and recruit a man named Dan Sullivan. They put him on the ballot to purposefully steal votes from Republican Dan Sullivan.

Also funny that these same people shit all over anyone using NYT reporting as a source whenever it says anything they don't like, even if it's true. They don't seem to care about that now.

This shouldn't be branded as a recommender simply because correlation does not imply causation. People who like poly may have traits that cause these attributes, not the other way around. I also think people's preference for mono/poly itself is stronger than all these things.
I made a recommender that tells you if you should be monogamous or polyamorous! Put in the kind of relationship you want, and get recommended the style that matches those values (based on a n=50k survey of people who reported their mono-polyness and how their relationships were actually doing)

The middle bands also tend to be lower because they had worse relationship satisfaction in Aella's survey. But I'm guessing a lot of them exist because one partner wanted mono and the other wanted poly, straining the relationship.. which doesn't imply monogamish/polyish arrangements are worse in general!

Leftist theorybros will be like: *smug face* 65% of Democrats are favorable to socialism! The CORPORATE ELITES are clearly denying the will of the people! Not realizing that this is what the average Democrat thinks socialism is
Replying to @Madeline_McCant
Actual socialism is fighting for locally owned grocery stores etc (which ime are usually on par with Lidl in terms of pricing but ymmv) and publically owned transport systems to allow ease of access. Socialism doesn’t have to give into corporations just bc it’s convenient.

Thinking about this, we could probably just Sokal the whole field now, right?
openai's internal model still has not produced a single result in gender studies

Only property owners should vote. Owning property ties your financial future to the country’s future. I want voters asking what a policy does to the next twenty years, not just what it puts in their pocket next month.

Happy Pythagorean Theorem Day! Here's hoping I live to see the next one.
Today (10/24/26) is Pythagorean Theorem Day. The month, day, and last two digits of the year are a Pythagorean triple and satisfy the Pythagorean theorem equation (a² + b² = c²). 10² + 24² = 26² This is the final Pythagorean Theorem Day of the 21st century.

65% is not an "overwhelming" advantage
I have several mutuals who have bet literally thousands of dollars (possibly tens of thousands at this point) on Paxton winning. The idea that someone like Talarico, who believes White skin is a virus and that we should govern the country like a big kindergarten class, could win a Senate race in Texas just seems totally unbelievable. And yet, the betting markets give him an overwhelming advantage and he has led or tied in every single poll since the end of the summer, bar one. Someone is wrong here. Either the market participants and pollsters are about to be humiliated, or our political landscape is going to be shattered in a way that few people are prepared for.

A lot of problems are caused by the fact that most Americans think the average corporation makes 50% net profit

If you want to be an informed voter, the size of federal spending categories and the average net profit of corps are almost as important as knowing the three branches of government. Civics classes should reflect this

Update: i was remembering a 1996 survey where the mean was 46, but it seems like the median is more like 36-40, so my bad on that. Point stands though
