It's #WorldTheatreDay and what better way to celebrate it than sharing our stunning #CastPhotos from both #RomeoandJuliet and #Hamlet. Thank you to #TomBarker & @lucyridges for their #photography genius!

Thank you @lyngardner 🙌🏻
The current generation of theatremakers should experiment with different approaches to Shakespeare's plays – rigidly sticking to tradition is what will threaten his legacy, argues Lyn Gardner (@lyngardner) bit.ly/2SrrMYD

Just had to see a kidney in order to book #TamingOfTheShrewn by the RCS at the Theatre Royal. Blimey, I know we’re likely to see where the money goes with the set but I wish there was a company who did more affordable accessible #Shakespeare in the #NorthEast...😏

Why is it always the education work that has to suffer? The RSC gets a massive grant every year alongside a huge number of trusts, foundations and sponsorship. If money is tight, then why not 'make do' with a cast of 15 instead of 20? Education work is vital to the whole sector.
RSC artistic director Gregory Doran has warned that the company will have to make sure its education work "does not suffer" following the loss of income from the closure of Les Misérables in its original form bit.ly/34n6sXW

Sadly @Shakespeasy is a little too young to apply for this fund, but your organisation may not be. Have a deeks and see if this fund could benefit you.
Newcastle cultural organisations. Deadline for Newcastle Cultural Investment Fund projects round is nearly here. Would love an application from each and every one of you! communityfoundation.org.uk/g…

Well done everyone in @Shakespeasy last night! It was brilliant. My stomach hurt from laughing so much. I have to admit being an audience member instead of performing in it is so much more relaxing

Breaketh legs to all involved in @Shakespeasy tonight at @Alphabetti, but particularly to Playing Up's previous practitioners Jake Wilson Craw, Eilidh Talman, Kylie Ann Ford, Mel Carss and Zoe Birkbeck!
The secrecy will soon be lifted and we can't wait!

Are you feeling pensive? Curious? Perhaps you have some burning questions about our show. You're in luck! We're planning a HUGE cast Q&A, and the way it works is simple - you provide the Qs by replying to this tweet, and we'll give you the As, along with a shoutout!! #EdFringe
