I work with multiple school districts and across the board, they are spread paper thin. Admins, teachers, & ALL support staff are busting their butts. That being said, if you’re sitting at home bad mouthing your district on social media, STOP IT!! 😡

The public may not fully understand all that goes into the decision making process & how heavy those decisions weigh on us. Now is the time that school admins have to look out for each other. That support is so powerful. I am so thankful to all of those that been there for me! – at Illinois, USA

Your teachers won’t make you smart. Your coach won’t make you a great player. Your doctor won’t make you healthy. Your pastor won’t make you religious.
Your life is YOUR responsibility. Lean on your network and your support but YOU need to take action and make things happen.

The IHSA has done a nice job with this, especially the map. If you click the link you can also see which sports are in which season and what risk level the IDPH has them at.

You can’t keep moving the seasons...in small towns, so many of our students are multi-sport athletes and having overlapping seasons makes it really tough. We also have coaches that double up and coach multiple sports. Add in limited facilities and it becomes very challenging

Regarding rumors of an announcement today, the #IHSA is not aware of any IDPH changes, or anticipated changes, to the risk categorization of any sports.
At this time, there are no announcements related to modifications in any sport season scheduled for today or the near future.

Why is it, as an athletic director, do I continually find out news from the IHSA on Twitter and not the IHSA?

Most recent IHSA / ISBE / IDPH contradiction to vent about . . .
50 kids on a yellow bus = OK
12 kids on a white bus to attend an extracurricular activity = NOT OK
For transportation to IHSA events we need 6 feet between kids, but for school we don't . . .
