Tourism anywhere on Maui hurts relief efforts because fire survivors need hotel rooms across the island.
Many are still in tents and gym floors.
However, small businesses rely on visitor spending.
But these are false choices. We can demand that the Federal government step up—like during Covid—to provide forgivable loans to ALL impacted small businesses and workers on Maui.

You’re an a**hole if you think you can go to British Columbia just to go on vacation. Why? They don’t need eco-tourism when thousands are evacuating the fires. They need everyone out.
