After watching @DopesickOnHulu I was motivated to decrease opioid use in the Pediatric IR suite. Lurie IR partnered with @LurieAnesthesia to provide nerve blocks for vascular malformation/bone cysts and it’s a game changer! 309 patients evaluated. rapm.bmj.com/content/early/2…

#LurieIR Case 2 (#RSNA22 Edition): Infant w/ severe pulmonary HTN and portosystemic shunt between mesenteric system and lower IVC. Balloon occlusion with hypertrophy of portal vein. Shunt was occluded as the gradient was < 10mmHg. Follow up CT shows hypertrophy of portal system.
