Back in Querétaro 🇲🇽 for my third Canadian Manufacturing Day 🇨🇦.
We will be diving into a strategic discussion of how to strengthen a critical foundation of North American trade and the Canada-Mexico relationship: moving our goods north 👆 and south👇.
Hasta pronto @CanChamMx

People in🇺🇸🇲🇽often think about cross border investment going south, being Mexico a developing country and the U.S. a developed one. But Mexican investment is increasingly going north. Unknown to many, Mexico's FDI in the U.S. is 40% of that of the U.S., roughly the same in per capita terms, and eight times greater as a share of its GDP.

BREAKING NEWS: Canada's economy grew by an annualized 3.3% in second quarter, fastest pace since 2023. StatsCan also revises Q1 numbers to 0.3% growth. Remember concerns about technical recession. Yeah, there wasn't one. The rebound in growth was driven by exports and investment - which means business led the charge.

Canada posted its first current account surplus in four years, led by strong gains in goods exports, including energy products.
Some of you are overly pessimistic about the US trade war; some of you are overly pessimistic about Canada’s ability to build and develop resources. Let me tell you that Canada will produce and export more potash, uranium, copper, oil, natural gas and gold next year and in the years following. It’s baked in already. The only question is how much global market share we will gain.
