Thane Metro is what happens when real estate, not transport planners, design transit. Instead of fast linear corridors putting every home within ~300 m of a station, the city got a circular ring that barely serves where actual Thanekars live. Excellent for future land value appreciation though—my builder and landowning childhood friends are thrilled 🤩

Assam: Muslim wife forcibly takes Hindu husband for circumcision after allegedly intoxicating him.
👉 On November 02, this story came up after a man named Akhil Chandak filed a case against his wife at the Bhagagarh Police Station.
👉 Akhil, originally from Rajasthan, married a Muslim girl from Mankachar in 2020. They have a six-year-old daughter.
👉 Akhil alleged he was intoxicated and then taken for circumcision.
👉 Later after filing the case, police took Akhil for a medical examination to GMCH, where it was confirmed that he underwent circumcision.
