I made a song and a music video about the #Rapture earlier this year! Must be something in the air.

Kid on crowded playground at my work today: "I'm the king of the castle, Ashleigh is a dirty rascal"
Me: "why me?!?"
Him: "because you're wearing a grey sweater."
Case closed.
I could never express my true feelings about grey in my day-to-day life, it would cause too much conflict. Thank you for being a safe place for me to air my greyvances
Who the fuck looked at a gloomy, overcast day and said "I want my entire home and office space to look like this all day, every day" ????
I say this as a long-time wearer of a lot of grey, I'm beginning to feel that the color grey should be wiped off the face of the planet. At least it has absolutely no place in home decor
Started going to bed at 7:30 waking at 4am. First four hours of the day are basically spent thinking about things and making notes. While stretching, making tea, watching videos, a bit of scrolling. Insights roll in and I write them down
In order to find your personal myth you must remove all modern made up psychological bullshit terms from how you understand yourself. You're only describing the ways in which you don't fit in to modernity.
For me art demands inefficiency, freedom, slow living. I come up with drum beats while buttering my toast. I think of vocal melodies while gazing into the distance washing dishes.
When I was little, anytime I didnt want to do some minor thing, my dad would say "don't worry, one day we'll be in heaven and everything will be perfect and we won't have to brush our teeth" and I wonder how that shaped my worldview
I think I live a life very different to most. I live alone in the country. No kids pets partner friends or family. I meditate for hours each day. I work part time and have very little money. I sit in my feelings every day. I don't drink or smoke or watch much TV.
Just spent an hour EQing twenty guitar and vocal tracks only for my iPad to crash and save nothing. Thanks technology
Music literally gets me out of bed in the morning. The thought of making it, releasing it, someone hearing and being affected by it. Like a spirit it removes the covers for me and possesses me to touch my feet to the cold floor each day.
Me to the squirrel living in my crawlspace, who is totally nonchalant and unbothered by my yelling and empty threats: "you think you know me? Because you live in my crawlspace? We're not so different, you and I."
One of those days where I keep getting hit in the ribs with the profundity of everything. driving quiet winter roads at dusk listening to Debussy and other classical will do that to you.
