A lot of the biggest structural issues in the British economy go back to Clement Attlee’s government. From the housing crisis to the low productivity issues that have consistently plagued the British economy postwar to this day.
But the NHS used to be good once, I guess.
The great thing about Mike Tapp is that he’s very honest about the racism. He just tells you straight up he doesn’t know any Arabs and doesn’t care about Arabs, only Jews.
Some other Labour MPs would try and pretend otherwise…
It is so funny to watch hindutva supporters, esp. Bengali ones dancing over this news. Last time I visited ICTS, I saw Sen chatting with a colleague who was wearing a WhatsApp University t shirt lol. These morons will call ICTS anti national if they spend one week there.
Funny thing is, no they aren’t. Poor quality degrees tend to be more valued in the countries of origin than they are in Britain and give you a more than comfortable life in those countries and a pretty shitty one here.
Skilled worker visas already require you to secure a job that pays pretty well. People look at outliers to make statements about mean/medial/modal claims and that’s going to lead to the collapse of the higher ed system but that’s ok I guess.

This is making the exactly opposite point, Zelenskyy was always seen as someone who wanted peace with Russia and would have given a lot for it and Russia invaded and started their wholesale slaughter anyway
Says more about Russia than him

Lots of people this week are claiming that North Sea oil and gas isn't in a marked decline. They range from the Labour Party to the British political right to Scottish nationalists to industry lobbyists.
In fact oil and gas production has plummeted over the last 25 years.

Oz blocked me again right after tweeting (unwell behavior) so it's quite funny that he's whining about deleted tweets. My work at the Quincy Institute was published, under my name, in a format longer than 280 letters. See if it matches his claims about me:

What could be more racist and ignorant than smearing people for talking about the ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide they've suffered without even bothering to speak to them?
“Have you spoken to any Palestinian organizations before you wrote your letter?”
@ShehabKhan presses Labour MP Mike Tapp who reported the Green Party over its Zionism motion about whether he’s ever spoken to any Palestinians.
Tapp: “I don’t know any Palestinian people.”
You hear about how the GPEW shouldn’t be waging ‘culture wars’ and instead focus on ‘economic issues’ and people cite polling here; but polls also show the majority of British voters want welfare cut (including Labour &LibDem voters) & only a minority of Greens want increases.
This is slop. To the extent racism manifests more intensely during downturns or periods of stagnation, it’s not simply a matter of things being unaffordable, but because of zero-sum views about jobs etc.
‘Implement price controls’ and ‘MOAR WELFARE’ is hardly the answer.
Across the globe, liberal democracies have failed to deal with unaffordability, leading to the rise of far-right extremism.
Speaking to Jacobin, Isabella Weber outlines an alternative. jacobin.com/2026/10/weber-in…
Typically speaking, when a certain policy is designed to screw over X, a Union whose membership includes a large percentage of X, is well within its remit to represent their interests.
Of course, I understand that a lot of Labourites online want to see Anglokafala instituted.
