A Texas judge just ordered Discord to turn on the age checks it built for the UK.
The same face scans, same ID uploads, now for everyone in the state. Britain wrote the rule and Texas imported it.
So a judge told them to turn it on.
Texans will have to show a face scan or government ID to access legal speech.

FSC v. Paxton needs to be reversed. It was wrongly decided and has opened the door for doing in the US what Europe is currently preparing.
Basically, to my understanding, a Texas court ruled that digitsl ID for adult sites is fine, but not for filtering results on social media.
Sort of strange to me, but I suppose it's good news, all things considered. Still, digital IDs are coming quick.
