Shogi Dad

I'll be streaming this one. It should be fun if not a bit crazy and hectic! 🤣

This photo just makes me want to play shogi so much. Perfect.

How amazing would it be to play a Shogi Wars tournament in person at a great shogi cafe??? I'm so jealous!

This reminds me of Hikaru no Go where Touya Meijin just casually walks around in his Montsuki Haori Hakama (I think that's what it's called?).

Shogi Rage Bait. 🤣

Street Fighter 6 has a new voting event ... I chose Japanese Curry 🍛 but it was a very difficult choice over Thai Curry. 🤤

Looks like the KIOU checkmark arrived while I was away over the weekend! #棋桜

OK, I've ordered a Piyo Shogi tee shirt through buyee...this is my first time using that service so I hope it arrives! If it does I'll wear it on stream. 😎

I love this! We need more good quality shogi merch! I figure I should take this opportunity to also share mine. shop.shogidad.com/

It seems to be mostly (all?) bot games so there aren't as many records for the openings I play, but @478_shogi Kiri Compass is so promising!

This sort of Opening Explorer is what I've been dreaming about for shogi. Well done! If Shogi Wars released something like this backed by a database containing all their billion+ games I would be in heaven and would happily subscribe to it. @warsminamin

I'm more excited than usual for today's "Fast Shogi Friday" 10SEC stream on Shogi Wars but whenever I've felt that way in the past it's resulted in a lot of losses. 😅 Sometimes my best play sessions come when I'm *not* confident, I think? Perhaps it's a lack of expectation? 🤷‍♂️

It took close to 3 years of streaming, but it finally happened. 🎉 Huge thank you to all channel subscribers and supporters throughout the years! We'll have a celebration stream at some point in the near future where I'll be giving away a Shogi Dad mug. Enjoy your shogi!

It was a busy month of streaming shogi! 😅

This video about shogi in Paris is amazing. What a community! The discussion around having equipment available to purchase is interesting, as well...I've cited this as a problem attracting and retaining players here in the USA, too. youtu.be/VpukiYvqavk?si=emCf…

It's been four and a half years since I achieved my first and only Tetris 99 victory and I thought it would never happen again now that everyone seems so good, but this morning somehow...Tetris Maximus! 🎉

It was a great month of shogi! Good work compiling the list.

Is anyone else ever struck with the idea "wow, I love shogi" while spectating a game? This morning I was enjoying a Hajime Suzuki video and the idea just randomly popped in my mind: "wow, I love shogi." I wish I would have been matched with him in the Shogi Wars tournament! 🥲

I have a dentist appointment this morning so today's stream will be a late start. 😬 I expect to get the usual warnings about drinking too much tea and coffee. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
