I gotta watch Karlaftis do NOTHING for 6 weeks in a row but man oh man those meaningless pressures he stacks up sure are plentiful!

Losing in the superbowl 40-6 followed by a 6-11 season and they still dont prioritize the WR position its preposterous

Everyone in the league knew the Chiefs needed another WR. That is everyone except Brett Veach.

“George Karlaftis got close there” - feels like a perpetual theme. Always so close

How many years until management realizes that their hall of fame quarterback needs a fucking WR1? Not even a torn ACL convinced them so I’m not sure what else will.

Yeah anybody acting like this is a normal situation is just choosing to ignore all the signs.

.@MikeGarafolo “Simmons on the way out the door had words for the room as well.”
Simmons was placed on IR 24 hours later…..interesting to see if he plays in a single game this season.
Josh Simmons was kicked out of a team meeting by Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes for sitting with his feet up in the offense's meeting room, per @MikeGarafolo
Simmons later apologized.

I hope this Josh Simmons ordeal is a learning experience for some people.
The organization is not always going to be 100% truthful about what is going on behind the scenes. Sure, most of the time they’ll give partial/half-truths to satisfy us but sometimes there is more than meets the eye and blindly accepting everything you hear from the coaches/players at the podium is ridiculous. Andy is notorious for hiding things at press conferenced and being a vague as possible to the media.
However there was obviously more than enough information surrounding Josh Simmons(whether from college or from his last 2 years as a pro) to conclude that we weren’t getting the whole story. This story leaked from somebody who was clearly sick of him and his attitude.
I knew eventually I would be vindicated about this topic but most importantly, next time the coaching staff tells you guys something that doesn’t quite add up or seems fishy, I hope people reconsider their blind allegiance to Andy and Co. rather than calling everybody else weirdos and conspiracy theorists(who were right the entire time.)

Go in there and read it. Feet propped up, arguing with a coach, uses his back to excuse his bullshit. It got so bad Mahomes has to step in and make him leave.
Later that day no practice, “consult with family” and then on IR
I will accept your apologies below
Before he was placed on IR, #Chiefs LT Josh Simmons was told to leave a team meeting by coach Andy Reid and QB Patrick Mahomes.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to ask? I’m calling out the process of what happened here. The guy ramps up for a week, is totally fine, the head coach doesn’t make mention that he won’t be practicing Wednesday, and then all of a sudden he misses practice and they said it was scheduled. They also labeled it as “back/personal” which is odd. Then Rick says what he said today about things. I am trying to tell people that that discussion yesterday, talking to your doctors and getting second opinions and all that, doesn’t happen on a Wednesday after a ramp up week. It happens Monday or Tuesday when you’re there every day doing rehab and talk about how you’ve been feeling, how you are that day, what the next week will look like. Coach also said Monday that they were going to continue the ramp up period this week. So all of those factors tells me the expectation was that he would practice Wednesday and continue the ramp up, until much closer to practice when he said he wasn’t ready. Then it became an “ok well what the heck do we do next” situation. Also Rick saying he’s “plateaued,” man he’s only had one week of individual drill work. How can you “plateau” after that little practice time, when again the messaging just this week was that they don’t know about the game but they’d continue the progression. Rick also said surgery isn’t recommended right now. So he has an injury that has caused him to miss two months, got better, he practiced some, then it plateaued, he needs at least another month to keep recovering, but surgery isn’t recommended? How does that make sense either? So all I’m saying is that this still smells fishy and we’re not getting the full story.

This whole thing doesn’t pass the smell test, yet again. You don’t do that on a Wednesday coming off a “ramp up” week where you practice every day and the wording has been that he’s going to continue that process. I do not know anything but this screams of the team expecting him to be practicing, him saying he’s not healthy, and then a big back and forth between the two sides.

#Titans HC Robert Saleh says Jordan Elliott having a gun was, in a way, a “small sign of a cry for help,” considering he had no prior issues and is a father and a hard worker.
Saleh referenced two suicides in the NFL over the past year and expressed concern about players struggling without getting the help they need.
“These kids go through a lot. I will stand on the table for Jordan’s character. My message to 31 other teams: If you need a hell of a run-stopping DT that can help for a playoff run, give me a call. I'll tell you everything you need to know about him. He’s a good man. Had a terrible lapse in judgment.”
Ex-#Titans DT Jordan Elliott went to his car to retrieve his gun after a practice altercation with OT JC Latham last Thursday (Oct. 15).
After being told to leave the field, Elliott took off his pads and stormed out of the facility, then went to the players' lot. Security cameras captured the sequence. Veteran DL John Franklin-Myers talked him down, and no one was hurt.
The Titans released Elliott on Tuesday after reviewing the incident. He signed a 2-year, $8M deal this offseason.
News of the incident was first reported by @eastonfreeze and additional details provided by @AaronWilson_NFL.
