Under Yankee Stadium, a Red Sox jersey buried under Yankee stadium. In late 2007, Red Sox fan and construction worker Gino Castignoli secretly buried a David Ortiz jersey in the concrete of the under-construction Yankee Stadium, hoping to curse the team.
By April 2008, word of the prank had leaked to the media, and on April 13, 2008, Yankees officials jackhammered through two feet of concrete to retrieve the jersey.
Rather than destroy it, they donated the jersey to Boston’s Jimmy Fund a Red Sox affiliated charity supporting cancer care and research which auctioned it on eBay.
On April 24, 2008, the tattered Ortiz jersey sold for $175,100, with all proceeds going to pediatric cancer research.

The kind of career Julian Edelman had doesn’t happen in the NFL. College QBs trying to make it at a new position are usually a flash in the pan. He turned himself into one of the toughest, most clutch players we’ve ever seen. Edelman developed himself into an all-time Patriot.
Football guy.

Imagine how many Super Bowls Brady would have won if he got to play for a Hall of Fame Head Coach 🤦
Josh McDaniels is 49 and has 6 Super Bowl rings, set 2 AFC franchise back a decade and got fired for defending the patriots while he was an active head coach. He might actually be the greatest Boston sports figure ever
