Shute House

Chapeau to Moritz for his first attempt at a hand roll. Good to see @PyranhaKayaks Rotobat still a favourite for teaching rolling …… And true to form for a @PaleyHouse boy, he sorts his hair out even before celebrating the achievement 💪

Jack shows what great athletes do when games is cancelled due to frozen ground.......

We have a Christmas tree…… and a Christmas mascot!

Not a great picture of a fantastic evening. Thanks again to the boys of Shute for their excellent company on Saturday evening…… and to Andy Swinscoe for joining us as guest speaker.

Many many thanks to Andy @CourtyardDairy for his fantastic words to the boys of Shute in our house dinner. Original, hilarious, thought provoking and downright inspirational. And all the better for being said in accompaniment to the dulcet flavours of a lovely bit of Hafod!

Yummy waffles and an excellent pub quiz for house night tonight! Well done Roland and Romeo for organising.

The Shute contingent (plus a few honorary extras) in the colour run this weekend. Well done to Woody and Will for taking part after 1) playing for the first XV the day before. 2) attending club training that same morning too!

The boys take a break from waterrugby to try and make a whirlpool…… An eclectic experience for this weeks house night.

Jack has a go at a proper sport. Turns out he’s quite good at kayaking too!

Daniel’s poker face finally cracks into a smile on the now traditional start of term ramble round ribblesdale

Fantastic result for Jack in the home international - 4th place in the individual and Gold for Team England....

Very pleased to see off our excellent Y13 boys at a very enjoyable Leavers Ball. They were superb company, as always. Oscar, Anton and Vittorio showing their beast sides here!

Svyat emerges from his three years at Giggleswick completely unscathed

Good to see the Shute boys enjoying Yorkshire at it's best :)

Fantastic result for Jack - first in the NY schools athletics in the 3000m and selected to represent the county at the English Schools track and field Championships…… the first Giggleswickian to do so since 1996. Not bad for a fell runner!

Summer well underway in Giggleswick!

Well done Fred - again showing resourcefulness and ingenuity in the 'demolish a pallet and rebuild it into something else using only hand tools' challenge...... even more difficult to do than it is to say, as anyone who has ever tried to break one up will agree💪

Congratulations to Will and Jack. Third and first in the North Yorkshire javelin and 3000m respectively. Fantastic achievements for both - we’re very proud! 👍💪😊

Classic game of ‘capture the flag’ with Nowell for tonight’s house night. Thanks to Mr Burrows for refereeing excellence - keeping good order throughout 💪🙏
