This is outrageous.
Every government will try to maximize tax revenue.
Do you think Netflix or Google will suffer?
Absolutely not! They'll pass the cost on to end users like us.
BREAKING: France just voted to tax the internet.
French lawmakers approved a tax of β¬0.055 (5.5 cents) for every gigabyte of data that companies like Netflix and YouTube send to French users. Itβs a tax on the companies, not users directly, but the cost could get passed on to subscribers.
The vote was 11 to 10, with only 35 of 577 lawmakers present. Supporters say it could raise up to β¬10 billion a year. The French government opposed it, warning it would hit smaller French companies hardest; VLC says it would cost it over β¬1 million a year.

This amendment to France's 2027 budget bill was narrowly adopted 11-10 in the National Assembly (35 voters present) but is not yet law, faces government opposition, and must still clear further Assembly/Senate steps.

Seriously?
Canada is so fuxked up to have politicians to think this way.
It is not fuxking ok to steal from anybody. We should have our rights to defend ourselves.
Fuxk the Canadian government.

Criminals can have guns, but Canadians can't have guns to protect ourselves.
How great is that.
βΌοΈNEW - HORIFFIC Home Invasion in Toronto's Richest Community
They shot CEO David Morton and HIS DAUGHTERS .....and hit his wife with a hammer! Absolute savages!
On the October 29, 2026, at around 3:43 a.m three masked suspects, each armed with handguns (one also carrying a hammer), forced entry through a rear door/entrance of the Bridlepath home.
Victims:
David Morton (75) β CEO of The MAC Group
Wife Doriana Zohil-Morton
Adult Daughter Maggie Zohil-Morton
and Adult Daughter Cristina Zohil-Morton
The armed intruders confronted a family of four adults inside (father, mother, and two adult daughters), demanded valuables/money, and a struggle ensued during which the suspects fired their guns multiple times.
Injuries were initially described as two life-threatening and two non-life-threatening; later updates called two βlife-alteringβ and two non-life-threatening, with two still in hospital.
Suspects fled in an SUV before police arrived.
No public descriptions of the suspects have been released.
Police do not believe a vehicle was stolen from the home; it is unclear if anything was taken.
We need the death penalty for these types of crimes. This will SHATTER the entire community!
Lots of investors think buying a REIT is safe.
But when real estate keeps dropping with no end in sight, REITs will fall with it.
Your dividend will be cut, and the stock price could drop 80%. Basically, you lost all your initial investment.
SOMEONE IS GETTING A PAINFUL LESSON IN LEVERAGE.
Allied Properties REIT has collapsed approximately 88% from its 2020 peak.
Today's catalyst? A 90% distribution cut, deteriorating cash flow and pressure to deleverage.
This is how credit bubbles unwind.
Economic Winter doesn't care what you originally paid for an asset.
When debt becomes unsustainable, equity absorbs the losses.
And history keeps repeating the lesson.
Deleverage before the economy forces you to.
I wouldn't buy this piece of garbage when the risk of the screen failure is high.
I aren't paying hundreds for screen repair after warranty.
Apple products really go downhill over the past few years.
The iPhone Duo display failure controversy may be far more serious than we initially thought.
According to a report by Chinese media outlet Jiemian News, a Foxconn employee revealed that Apple had previously relaxed certain quality control standards to ensure sufficient iPhone Duo supply amid production constraints. This could mean that some devices that would have failed stricter inspections had a greater chance of reaching consumers.
Even more concerning, the Foxconn employee claimed that the iPhone Duo production line has already urgently replaced a batch of components in response to the reported issues. However, overall production and shipment plans reportedly remain unchanged.
Now, let's connect the dots.
Back in September, reports suggested that the iPhone Duo's final assembly yield was only slightly above 60%, with the hinge and display being major manufacturing challenges.
Fast forward to today. Less than a week after its official launch, multiple users have already reported cracked inner displays and other screen failures.
This raises a serious question:
Did Apple already know about these potential quality risks before launch, but decide to accept a higher failure rate in order to maintain its initial shipment targets?
If the Foxconn employee's claims are confirmed, this could become a much bigger controversy.
Apple needs to explain exactly what quality standards were applied to the first batch of iPhone Duo devices, and whether potentially defective units were allowed to reach consumers.
For a device this expensive, customers deserve transparency.
He is right on most points.
If working Canadians have no money left each month for investment, how are they going to survive at retirement stage?
Government old age pension is barely paying the grocery bill.
Being a night time security guard?
π¨π¦ THE NEXT CANADIAN FINANCIAL CRISIS MIGHT NOT BE HOUSING.
It could be retirement.
Think about whatβs happening.
Canadians are carrying mortgages later into life.
Housing costs consume a larger share of household budgets.
Higher interest rates make debt more expensive.
And every dollar spent servicing debt is a dollar unavailable for retirement savings.
Hereβs the uncomfortable mathematics.
A Canadian investing $500 monthly for 30 years at an assumed 6% annual return could accumulate approximately $502,000.
Delay investing by 10 years?
That same $500 monthly contribution over 20 years grows to approximately $231,000.
Thatβs roughly $271,000 in potential retirement wealth lost to a decade of delay.
And the biggest problem isnβt that Canadians donβt understand compound interest.
Itβs that many are struggling to find money left over to invest.
Now imagine approaching retirement with:
π An outstanding mortgage.
π³ Consumer debt.
π Insufficient retirement savings.
π Rising living expenses.
Suddenly, retirement becomes less about financial independence and more about whether you can afford to stop working.
Canada spends enormous amounts of political energy debating housing affordability.
But thereβs another question worth asking.
What happens when an entire generation reaches retirement age without having accumulated enough assets to retire comfortably?
A country cannot measure prosperity solely by the value of its real estate.
It must also measure whether its citizens can afford financial security after decades of work.

I am guessing Benjamin Netanyahu will not accept the election defeat, no matter what.
Mystery election boxes will appear out of nowhere, so Netanyahu will get re-elected with a majority.
Sorry, I hate Netanyahu. He is the guy who wants to bomb everyone around Israel.
Because they found out he is getting "kickbacks" from suppliers?

Stop the Lgbtqia2s+ BS.
Sick of this BS in Canada.
This is why western countries are collapsing.
The BC teachers union president issued this statement today π₯΄
"I recognize that with the outcome of a Conservative government, many of us may be feeling disappointed, scared, or deeply concerned about what might come next.
I know these results may be particularly concerning for Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ members. You are not alone."
Please tell Canadians that.

π₯EXPLOSIVE ATIP: Immigration Canada knew Indian agents were running MASSIVE FRAUD in the trucking industry and the student visa program as early as 2017 β and stamped the evidence "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
According to records released under the Access to Information Act, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) maintained an internal procedures manual for its New Delhi visa office documenting systemic fraud across the student visa and temporary foreign worker streams. The manual instructs officers to treat fraud as anticipated rather than exceptional
The most damning thing about this scandal is not the fraud β it's that the government predicted it, kept it running, and then stamped the file "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
Canada didn't lose control of its immigration systemβthey monetized it.

π¨ Hackers just hijacked trades at 70 brokerages
Japan's GMO Internet Group has confirmed a major cyberattack on Onamae Desktop Cloud, a service many forex traders use to run automated trading software around the clock.
Up to 26,739 servers may have been exposed.
The attackers stole traders' login details and used them to place unauthorized trades across more than 70 brokerages.
In one case, an account lost around 2.4 million yen in about 84 seconds.
The hackers then demanded a $50 million ransom in crypto.
GMO refused to pay and has reported the attack to the police.
GMO began shutting down the affected servers on October 21.
Every user will receive 5,000 yen, along with full compensation for verified trading losses.
GMO shares fell almost 16% on Monday to a four month low. CEO Masatoshi Kumagai warned that the internet itself is starting to break down.
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi held an emergency cybersecurity meeting on October 26.
This adds to a brutal month for cybersecurity.
Japan has already recorded 723 cyber incidents this year, and State Bank of India customer records surfaced on the dark web just last week.
Iβve been saying this all along: if we fail to secure the US trade deal, economic uncertainty will inevitably drive investments elsewhere.
I have seen a few foreign investors move their investments elsewhere because of our politics with the US.
π¨π¦ Canadaβs trade problem is no longer just the tariff rate.
It is investment uncertainty.
Washington just removed some Canadian goods from the 50% tariff list .. and added others, including carpets, valves, paints and more, effective October 30.
That changes boardroom math.
Why build the next plant in Canada if your product can be tariff-free today and hit with 50% tomorrow?
The U.S. understands the leverage perfectly:
Trade uncertainty itself becomes industrial policy.
Canadaβs answer cannot be another press conference.
It has to become a country where the next factory, data centre and supply chain actually wants to stay.
