Colombia is one of the most complete teams at this tournament
Can play through a deep block with sharp, inventive passes and fluid movement
Retain possession so they can counter-press with intensity in packs
Physicality to dominate defensive duels
Electric on the counter
Nobody at the World Cup plays football as beautifully as Juan Fernando Quintero
Can see every possible pass instantly then pings whips cuts slides or curves the ball effortlessly
The slowest player on the pitch who always has the most time
A Perfectly imperfect footballer

Moisés Caicedo is such a good player.
People are rightfully excited by Richard Rios but when you see him up against Caicedo it is clear they are on very different levels.
Moises barely breaking a sweat and bossing the midfield while Rios is running himself into the ground.

🧵A Thread:
Juana Ortegon was very strong for Colombia at the U20 World Cup
10.92 ball recoveries, 9.27 interceptions and 7.99 defensive duels per 90
Composed on the ball, competitive in the air, reads the game well
Extremely mature and intelligent for such a young player (just turned 18)
Luisa Agudelo (17) had an incredible U20 World Cup for Colombia
Most clean sheets (4 in 5)
3.66 XG against and she conceded 2 goals, the fewest at the World Cup
She prevented 1.66 goals, the most at World Cup
She saved 89.47% of shots faced which was the best at the World Cup
@weareISC fullback Sintia Cabezas had a great U20 World Cup for Colombia.
Excellent on the ball, extremely quick, sharp on the turn and loves an outside of the foot through ball. (1/2)
Some video from Colombia’s group stage games at the U20 Women’s World Cup.
Attendances have been over 30,000 for all 3 games and they have broken the competition record twice.
The atmosphere has been incredible and Colombia have won all 3 games without conceding.
