You don't have to like Elon to follow the logic in this one. Walk through it with me.
Think about how your city council or county commission works. You can be furious with them, vote them out, and start over. That only works because the people in charge can't rewrite the rules so they never face voters again.
Elon names three rule changes, not policies. Two new states mean four new senators. More Supreme Court seats mean a new majority overnight. Legalizing millions of people at once means a new electorate. Once the filibuster is gone, all three can pass with a bare majority. Statehood can't be undone, and packing the Court just dares the next majority to pack it back.
So ask yourself one honest question. Would you be fine with the other party doing this the next time they held the House, the Senate, and the White House? If not, a check in the Senate isn't partisan. It's insurance.
Here's the part most people miss. In 2028, 34 Senate seats are up, and Republicans are defending 19 of them, including Wisconsin and North Carolina. That map tilts against them. Whatever margin is built this Tuesday is the cushion that's left when the presidency is on the ballot. Win too narrowly now, and 2028 becomes the clean-sweep year Elon is worried about.
It matters for the next two years too. The Senate confirms judges and cabinet officers and decides which bills ever get a vote. Without it, nothing moves.
So vote however you want for the House, for your county, for your school board. Split your ticket if that's who you are. But hold the Senate. Nov 3. teapawt.net/elonmusk/status/211603âŚ
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesnât happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

SpaceX and Tesla have prospered in Texas, because we were not constantly operating under an oppressive and extractive state government.
And I need to be close to the factories, so that I can walk the floor in person. Thatâs why the first major SpaceX factory was in LA and first major Tesla factory was in SF Bay Area.
As California became increasingly difficult, due to extreme taxes and overregulation, we moved our major domestic expansions and HQ to Texas.

Ron Baron is 83. In front of thousands of investors in New York, he looked at Elon Musk and asked the one question an 83-year-old asks.
"How do you want people to think about you?"
For the full hour before, it had been trillion-dollar chip fabs. Starship. Starlink. The business of the richest man alive.
Then Baron added, quieter: "Nobody would work the way you work just to accumulate money."
Elon paused.
"I'd like the reality to be that I made a significant contribution in the furtherance of civilization."
One sentence. Civilization.
And then, in the same room, he told them about Jose.
Jose is the guy in the meme. One man digging a hole in the road. Eight men standing around watching him dig.
"Unless you increase the number of Joses in the country, the amount of work done does not increase."
"I aspire to be Jose."
"We do actual work."
This from a man who lives in an Airstream parked next to his power plant in Memphis. Who pulls power cables "the size of an anaconda" with his own hands.
Asked how he wants history to remember him, he said civilization.
Asked who he wants to be, he said the guy with the shovel.
The richest man in the world wants to dig. đşđ¸đ

I think a lot of people are completely wrong about what caused this midterm "blue tsunami."
I also believe that much of the hyperbolic, misguided analysis is coming from people who have hated Trump for a long time and who have been eagerly waiting with bated breath to declare the end of Trump and MAGA.
"It was obviously the Iran War. Trump didn't put America first. He betrayed America. It was gas prices. Only a fool would think otherwise."
Ok. Fair enough.
Allow me to present a hypothetical scenario. Let's pretend that Trump #2 never started the war with Iran.
Imagine if the price of gas was not around $4.00 a gallon but instead, let's say something low, assume $2.70 a gallon.
Pretend inflation was at a near perfect 2% for the year and GDP was cruising along at a 15 year high.
Assume wages were up and unemployment was at about a 50 year low.
No war. Great economy. That would have won Republicans the midterms right?
That would have prevented Democrats from flipping 41 House seats and 5 Governorships?
Those hypotheticals I listed above are what was happening in 2018 before the midterms. And yet, Democrats flipped 41 House seats and 7 Governorships during the midterms.
The Senate races turned out differently because Democrats were defending races all around the country in 2018. Republicans took back a couple red states. But the 2018 midterms were considered a massive blue wave for Democrats. No Iran War, economy booming, and still, that's how the midterms turned out.
Here's a fun fact. There were approximately 35.5 million Democrat votes during the 2014 midterms. There were approximately 61 million Democrat votes during the 2018 midterms.
25 million more Democrat votes during a booming economy. Do the current criticisms of Trump's second term explain that?
Trump went from 63 million votes in 2016, to 74 million in 2020, to 77 million in 2024. During each of his three midterms (2018, 2022, 2026), the Republican vote has increased substantially. But those increases do not compete with the additional 20 million Democrat vote bumps that happened in 2018, 2020, and 2026.
The question for Republicans becomes why do these gigantic Democrat vote bumps happen. How are they doing it? Is it because people hate Trump? They hate his policies? If those things were true, he would not continually gain support for himself and for the Republican Party.
Without even touching voter fraud, I believe that there is a clear, multi-faceted strategy that Democrats employed in 2018, 2020, and 2026 to drive insane amounts of people to polls, regardless of economic conditions. It's not difficult to identify, but Republicans don't talk about it and certainly don't have an answer for it. And Democrats can do it at will when needed.
Yes Trump won in 2024, but he was the only Republican that would have won and his win was helped by some unprecedented circumstances. Democrats were caught off guard. They did not make that mistake this time around.
Trump's second term has been far from perfect. Lots of mistakes and unforced errors. And once again, many terrible personnel choices by Trump.
That being said, I also believe that things could have been close to perfect right now and Republicans would have still gotten crushed during the midterms. Look at 2018.
Perception is everything. Republicans are not prepared or even willing to step on to the field with Democrats in this regard.
The Democrats are a cohesive, well oiled, united machine working in perfect harmony with the MSM. Together they can create and push any narrative they want to push. Republicans not only have no answer to this, they instead spend their time fighting each other.
Democrats don't argue about policy. They create mass hysteria and fear. It's all emotion. It's their entire platform. Most Americans don't like their policies. But they are playing a game in which policy and ideas and reality do not factor into the equation. And there are very clear strategies that they use to create this mass hysteria and to drive voter turnout.
Republicans are just going to keep helplessly watching this happen over and over again. They learned nothing from Trump's first term. The exact same lies, smears and hoaxes were used again, except this time around they replaced Russia with Epstein. Same game plan to the tee. For example, they created the same immigration hysteria that they did in 2018. Everything happened again.
Democrats were doing No Kings/Fight Fascism protests back in 2018 over immigration. People don't remember this but they were. I've posted videos about it. Bernie proudly declaring "No Kings." The immigration hysteria is especially effective at getting women riled up.
People don't remember Kamala Harris taking a ladder to climb a fence to break into an ICE facility in 2018 or Rachel Maddow fake crying on TV, AOC crying at the fence, or Oprah holding her book club at the border. Protesters literally glueing themselves to the ground in protest (over nothing). A Time Magazine cover with Trump menacingly towering of a crying migrant child. The audio recording of a baby crying that the MSM played on repeat for weeks before the midterms. The British PM Theresa May publicly condemning "kids in cages" (the same cages that Obama built and used).
Republicans just sat idly on their hands and watched it happen all again, making no attempt at rebuttal. Democrats are on TV every hour of every day. Republicans politicians can't even bring themselves to post on social media in defense of enforcing the law. No matter who the next Republican President is, if he or she attempts to enforce immigration laws, Democrats will turn it into a midterm win. Guaranteed. And that's just one weapon in their playbook.
Republicans don't even know how to deal with the sabotage coming from their own side, let alone unite in a perception war with the Democrat Party.
Before the 2022 midterms inflation had reached a 40 year high, gas was above $5.00 a gallon, more people died from Covid in 2021 than in 2020, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal happened, the border was wide open and Biden was struggling to walk and talk. Still, Democrats only lost a few House seats and even picked up a Senate seat.
With all that happening, why didn't 20 million more Republicans vote during the 2022 midterms than in 2018? If economy matters so much, why was there no red wave? Have an election "expert" answer that one.
People who are playing Monday morning quarterback and criticizing everything Trump has done this time around are so not prepared for or even aware of the war that is being waged. They most likely care. They are ok with losing and many just want to declare all things Trump dead and buried. Maybe next election they will decide to fight back against the incredible machine Democrats. Good luck with that.
The Republicans who are so joyfully celebrating the end of "Trumpism" are in for a rude awakening when he's gone. Trump has increased his support and Republican support in every Presidential and midterm election he has been involved in.
I'm going to lay out in another post some detailed thoughts on the strategies Democrats have used to turn out massive amounts of votes and what Republicans might consider doing in response. It's nothing genius but there is a clear, detailed method to the Democrat madness and nobody seems to be talking about it or even care about it.
Granted, I'm just a guy on X who doesn't know much, but it doesn't hurt to post my thoughts so I will.
Elon Musk just exposed a massive inefficiency in the semiconductor industry: chip wafers can spend as little as 20% of their time undergoing actual useful processing
And Tesla is looking to fundamentally change how chips are manufactured
The problem with traditional semiconductor fabs:
⢠More than HALF of a wafer's time is spent being transported between machines or waiting for processing
⢠In some cases, only around 20% of the time involves useful physical changes to the wafer
⢠Semiconductor fabs require enormous capital investments, making manufacturers reluctant to experiment with radically different processes
⢠Established manufacturers generally prefer repeating proven manufacturing methods with incremental improvements rather than risking major changes
That means a wafer can spend approximately 80% of its time NOT undergoing useful processing
And this is precisely the kind of manufacturing inefficiency Tesla is targeting
The research chip fab at Gigafactory Texas will experiment with new approaches to semiconductor fabrication, identify successful improvements and transfer them to Terafab for large-scale production
The objective isn't simply to build more semiconductor manufacturing capacity
It's to rethink how the entire manufacturing process works
Less waiting. Less unnecessary movement. More productive processing time.
And when you're manufacturing chips at the scale Tesla is targeting, even modest efficiency improvements can translate into enormous increases in output
Tesla is bringing Elon's first-principles manufacturing approach to one of the most complex industries on Earth

This is the future of compute.
Itâs getting harder and harder to permit and build data centers on earth so the obvious solution is to build them in space.
Once SpaceX proves it can be done, every company interested in building compute will do it off-world.

If youâre right wing and you canât admit liberals (not communists) are way better at art and design and boutique coffee shops and restaurants, youâre not living in reality.
If youâre left wing and you canât admit conservatives are way better at running cities and businesses and police departments, youâre not living in reality.
You step inside a beautiful coffee shop in the PNW and think âman, these liberals are great at this stuffâŚconservatives should take notes.â Then the moment you step outside and trip over a homeless drug zombie shooting up fentanyl on the sidewalk, you think âman these liberals are terrible at this stuffâŚthey should really take notes from conservativesâ
Communists make disgusting anti-beauty art, but classical liberals arenât like that. Put the libs in charge of the coffee shops, put the conservatives in charge of city hall. This is how you get a city that is beautiful, clean, and functional.
If you canât accept that, you need to check your tribalism. We are never getting rid of each other, so figure out how we strike a balance or else the communists swoop in and take everything from us while we quarrel over stupid bullshitâŚwhich is exactly whatâs happening now.

Tesla has no government contracts and President Trump ended federal incentives for electric vehicles.
SpaceX contracts with the government are BOTH the best product AND the lowest price! Moreover government revenue will be less than 10% of SpaceX revenue this quarter and less then 5% a year from now.

Larry is 98 years old, and he bought a Tesla Model Y because of Full Self-Driving.
His first car was a 1931 Ford Model A. After 80 years behind the wheel, he says driving with Tesla FSD feels more relaxing. He even took his Model Y on a road trip to Colorado and called the drive âa breeze.â
For older drivers, that extra help can take some of the stress out of a busy drive across town. It can also make it easier to say yes to a weekend with the grandkids.
I love that Tesla is building technology that can help people stay independent as they get older. Being able to tell your family âIâll come see you this weekendâ and make the trip on your own schedule means a lot. âĽď¸
*TEXAS UPDATE*
Just want to clear up a few rumorsâ
Yes, Democrats won the governor's office, lieutenant governor's office, and control of the Texas House.
Republicans retained the Senate.
đ¨Hereâs what that means:
Suppose our new Democratic-controlled Texas House passes a bill changing Texas immigration enforcement laws.
The bill passes the Texas House.
It then goes to the Republican-controlled Senate.
If Senate Republicans oppose it and remain united, they can vote it down.
The bill cannot become law through the normal legislative process.
The Republican Senate can effectively serve as a firewall against legislation it opposes.
With that said, let me be clear: Texas Democrats are not the same as other USA democrats. Itâs different here.
I do not believe Talarico and Hinojosa are going to open the border. I do believe we can and will find ways to work together.
Texas has a chance to be the exampleâŚagain.

Riley Trettel (Energy & Data Center Development at SpaceX) in yesterdays Cochise Data Center meeting.
He claims the project will deliver up to:
- 40% off residential power bills for Sulphur Springs members, for the life of the project
- $53 million a year to the SSVEC Foundation, for education and the community
- $190 million a year in extra capital for Sulphur Springs, for projects or back to members
- $200 million a year for AEPCO and its members. About $100 million of that for Sulphur Springs
- $3.6 billion in new power lines, paid by SpaceX and given to the co-op. The co-op takes on no debt
- $30 to $100 million a year in new property tax, and a 20% cut in everyone else's county property taxes
- $250 million, one time, in sales tax. He said it could pay off the jail bond and fund the sheriff, fire districts, and the hospital
- $50 billion invested in the project
- 1,000 permanent jobs and 5,000 construction jobs
- No industrial water. Water for staff and maintenance about equal to 20â30 homes a year
- No gas turbines and no power plant on the site. The computers buy power from the co-op grid
- Dark-sky lighting, pointed at the ground
- Cooling equipment more than 1,500 feet from any neighboring property line or public road
This project is clearly extremely positive for the area.
