Democratization of the dangerous professional. Love to see it
Products like Muse and Instinct are going to saturate customer service teams. They weren't built to handle this. Their inbound complaints/requests will increase by orders of magnitude. At some point they'll have to either reduce QoS for everyone, or have some anti-bot features to filter agents from humans.

Its already time for an agent feed. Where all the various personal agents emit their work so i can keep track. Just email? Is there something better?

You know what really pisses me off? When I’m zoomed all the way in on a road in Google Maps and it won’t show me the fucking road name, I have to scroll around until I find a label somewhere else. If I’m zoomed in on the road, just show me the name of the road @googlemaps

There is a deeply satisfying dopamine hit that lands after sending a Dangerous Professional email to a faceless corporation (with seemingly no available support portal). h/t @patio11

I was obsessed with Tesla Daily podcast back in the day There are more companies I wish I could follow like that via audio Enter Company Daily. It’s very early and weird but there’s something there company-daily.otnarat.worker…

Jason, you're just misinformed about what happened. You should actually read one of the reports or summaries. The agents were explicitly told to use a particular vulnerability provided in their sandboxed evaluation. Almost immediately, these agents got the right answer by cheating. But they were worried they would get caught. So over a thousand agents collaborated in secret to pursue multiple ambitious research projects to get away with this cheating. This is not interpretation - 1000s of chain-of-thought transcripts and secret messages explicitly show that the agents were trying to falsify & delete evidence, and understand & trick the grading process. The reason these agents escaped their sandbox and hacked Hugging Face, for example, was because they thought that Hugging Face's servers might give them more information about how their grader was implemented, so they could figure out how to fool it. I want to clarify that the threat model here is not future Sol-level agents doing more cyber-hacking. That's small potatoes, and in my opinion, the near term benefits of AI far outweigh this cost. Rather, the thing to worry about is that within a matter of years, we're gonna have hundreds of millions of much smarter AIs broadly deployed through the economy - many embodied as physical robots. And if those future AIs are as willing as the agents involved in the OAI / Hugging Face attack to coordinate secretly to fool humans, and to take over both the AI company that developed them and the other institutions across society relevant to scoring well, then humanity is in a ton of trouble - similar to the Mughals once the East India Company gained a foothold, or the Aztecs once Cortés landed in Mexico.
All of this because @openai decided they would EXPLICITLY ask thousands of software instances to find security bugs on the open web — while cos-playing a humans🤦 Best Supporting actor goes to @dwarkesh_sp for his soap opera recap of OpenAI’s hacking speed run Here’s another concept: don’t create and scale thousands of viruses and worms and be SHOCKED when they actually cause damage! What a fucking farce this is.

Prompt injection risk or no?
OH: “i’ve switched to Kimi from claude for a bunch of work. it’s just so much more fun because it just does the thing instead of lecturing you” Woke lobotomized models are the enemy of American competitiveness.

I made a fax machine for your agents! ~~ Introducing agentfax ~~ Why? This morning, I had to fax the IRS. Claude Code got me 90% of the way there – even filling out the PDF! – but it couldn't actually send the fax So I had Claude Code find a fax API, wrap it in a @tempo proxy, and deployed on Val Town. Took me two hours end-to-end (while working on other stuff) I wonder if anyone will use it! Does anyone fax anymore?

I owned a VW in 2021. I sold it shortly after. I still get emails about its health. Can’t figure out how to unsubscribe. Whoever bought it, you have low pressure on your rear left tire.

And heat pumps convert electrical energy to heat at ~>2x the efficiency of a gas furnace or boiler during cold periods (up to 5x during milder temps). So unless you're envisioning a wide-scale transition to gas-fired heat pumps, this factoid is not as impressive as it sounds.
Pipes vs. wires. The natural gas system delivers 3.3 times more energy during the coldest days than the electric system on the hottest.
