I do try and stick to only reading my Following feed, which is productive & funny, but since I’m inevitably always sucked into the doom scrolling that is For You until I can tear myself away from the vampiric algorithms, I’ve decided to go check out The Other Place. Come find me.

Rest in peace, @OfficialCropper. A true giant of American soul music, it’s impossible to summarise the scale of his influence. Whether as a guitarist, songwriter, or producer, he was the essential architect of the Stax sound. Thanks for the music, Colonel.
Something very weird with #SpotifyWrapped2025 - saying my most listened-to song this year was Stay With Me by The Faces, but there is no way that’s true. Tis a banger, fo sho, but I have not searched and played that once to memory in 2025. 🤔

Sending love & energy through the universe to the spirit of the great Jimmy Cliff, who has passed on from this life. Saw him at SXSW in 2012; he was joyful, powerful, transcendent. Got this vinyl signed that year, something I’ve treasured ever since. Thanks for the music, Jimmy.
RIP Mani. A devastating loss to music. Mani was half of one of the greatest rhythm sections of my generation - a band whose impact was so significant, so consequential, that I hope he knew just how special he was.
