A Pacific franchise spanning five nations will lodge a bid to become the NRL’s 20th franchise - becoming the first NRL club to play home games in the United States, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands. JUST IN: The NRL has confirmed the Warriors' Week 2 Semi Final will be played at Eden Park, with kickoff slated for Sunday 4:05pm AEST (6:05pm local time). The NRL is yet to confirm the timing of the other semi final which will feature today's loser (PEN or SYD) and Cronulla.

I’ve always felt the NRL does its expansion process the wrong way around. Shouldn’t the NRL choose where it thinks strategically best they want a new franchise then tender the NRL licence out to potential buyers?
