Growing up my mum worked for the NHS as a nurse. The world has since had a technological revolution, but our NHS is still stuck in the past.
Upgrades to the NHS app will deliver results and reminders straight to your phone – a crucial part of making our NHS fit for the future.

This year, MPs will vote on reforms to the Mental Health Act. Mind is organising an exhibition in Parliament to share people’s experiences of being detained under the Act. I’ve invited my MP to come along, will you do the same? campaigns.mind.org.uk/page/1…

The Health Secretary’s just announced an investigation into the state of the NHS. This is good news. Mental health services desperately need more funding and support. Here are 5 things we want the investigation to look at:

Yesterday we lost my son Adam, who passed away after playing football, the sport he loved. We love him so much and the loss is devastating. He will always be with us and never forgotten.

Depression can be so bad it stops us doing everyday things. There might be a reason, but there might not be either.

It is clear mental health is not a priority for this Government. No mention of the Mental Health Act being reformed. No new investment for overstretched and under-resourced services. No interest in supporting young people.
We need ambitious plans – instead we’ve had years of broken promises.
The Government must urgently deliver a reformed Mental Health Act through the Mental Health Bill. Beyond that, we need commitments that will turn the tide on the mental health emergency and show young people that their mental health matters. #KingsSpeech

Shocking figures from earlier this year. The need for more early mental health support is clear and urgent.

Our friends at @MindCharity are asking if anyone has seen Billy, also known as the Mental Health Bill the UK government promised to deliver. We’ve waited too long for the Mental Health Act reforms and need to see these changes delivered before the next election.
Where's Billy? 👀

P.S. If someone doesn’t want to talk, try not to pressure them. Reassuring them you’ll be there when they’re ready to talk can be helpful. 4/4
