Sometimes you end up in places you never imagined. Had the honour of collecting the Street Food award on behalf of, Kara Baird, at the World Food Photography Awards. The award was presented by the wonderful Gennaro Contaldo. Grateful to have been part of it. #FoodisCare

Never imagined that raising my daughter on this council estate would one day become part of an academic textbook. Delighted to have contributed a chapter to Poverty in the UK: The Lived Experience @routledgebooks 📚 routledge.com/Poverty-in-the…

Food in Real Britain! Today’s @DailyMirror featuring the Citizens Advisory Council’s work on food deserts. Really pleased to have contributed to the piece. Thanks to Ros Wynne-Jones for shining a light on an issue that deserves much greater attention. #RealBritain #FoodDeserts

On my council estate, @dominos isn’t just takeaway — it’s one of the most accessible “treats”. But when the least healthy options are the best value, that has its consequences. At the Domino’s AGM tomorrow, I’ll be asking why? #FoodIsCare 🍕🥤

Thank you Rosie. I really appreciate it. There are urgent issues around access to fresh food on #LREstate that reflect wider structural challenges. I’ll email this week and look forward to sharing lived and research insight. #FoodInsecurity #FuelPoverty

Grateful Rosie and Josh. The lack of access to fresh food on #LREstate reflects deeper structural issues around affordability, access and stability. I’d welcome the opportunity to share lived and research insight to help inform this #foodinsecurity

Thank you Rosie. There is a history of Stagecoach failing the residents of London Road Estate so kindly please let me know if you make any progress. 🚌

I deeply hear you! That is something I am tackling both in policy and academic spaces, whose knowledge is valued. It is painful to know that we are often only extracted from when it fits their agenda. Then I’m back in my estate where nothings changed.

“Tinderbox UK may be one shock away from food riots. Weakened food security could tip into unrest.” It’s time for the government to improve domestic food security. And that is achieved by supporting British farmers rather than financially punishing them. theguardian.com/food/2026/fe…
