My lifelong intellectual goal is to use materialist dialectics to synthesize the fields of dynamical systems and World-Systems analysis. But, if somebody else does it before me, that's fine, I'm really busy doing other stuff

12 people have been wounded, including a family, following an israeli strike west of Khan Younis.
BTW I know two Palestinians in the West Bank who were put under "administrative detention" at the same time as these two, and they are still not free. They will probably remain in detention for months or years, without even being charged with any crime.
.@the_andrey_x and I were charged with assault, along with five other offenses. After being kept up all night and interrogated for seven hours, we finally saw a judge. He watched the footage and concluded it was clearly a one-sided attack and that we were the victims. His response was to ban us from the West Bank for two months, let the police keep my phone, and bring no charges against the settlers he had just watched attack us.

Replying to @bikrumsinghgill
@bikrumsinghgill has theorized Iran's resistance to the US-Israeli war as "the first anti-imperialist war" because it has challenged imperialism not only at the level of one state, but at the "world-systemic scale through which imperialism imposes dependency", changing the basis on which capital flows across the entire region.
I am thinking a lot about this in the context of tomorrow's global day of action, which could very well be described as the first major anti-imperialist strike. The mobilization is uniting workers across the Global North and the South. It is explicitly challenging the terms on which imperialism wages war, which depends on the control of transnational logistics chains that cannot be disrupted in any single territory in isolation.
For that reason, the scale of the action feels like a significant development in the urgent struggle against imperialism’s rapidly escalating global war.
NEW: On Friday, dockworkers at 111 ports in 22 countries and regions on five continents will stop work in a coordinated strike against war, according to the most recent information from the organizing unions.
More than 25 dockworkers’ unions have now signed on, from Marseille to Mumbai, Hamburg to Montevideo, Melbourne to Oakland. Days ago the count stood at about 100 ports in 17 countries, and that figure doesn’t include the dozens of unions in other sectors that have pledged support. Their demand is simple: no weapons and no military cargo through their ports. Nearly everything the world ships passes through the docks, and without the workers who load and unload it, nothing moves.
In France, the main dockers’ union says the country’s ports will be 95% shut. Italy, India, Greece and Turkey face 24-hour strikes, and Morocco and Cyprus will see stoppages of up to two hours, with rallies planned in port cities around the world. In Greece, metalworkers, ship-repair workers and young people are joining the dockers, and in the US, ILWU Local 10 is striking in Oakland and San Francisco. The unions are working from the Istanbul Declaration, signed in May, with each one deciding for itself how to take part. They are also fighting for their own jobs, against cuts from automation and for contracts, raises, shorter hours and safety.
The unions point to escalating wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and the danger of a generalized war. They condemn Israel’s new crimes in Hebron, carried out with the backing of the US, NATO and the EU. Israel’s lockdown of the city is now in its sixth day, with more than 3,000 Palestinians displaced, according to the UN. Palestinian unions have endorsed Friday’s action.
In Italy, the fight has spilled beyond the docks. The union USB has called for a nationwide general strike. Last night, the Italian government ordered transport workers back on the job last night. USB said it would defy the order and accept the steep penalties.
The unions are calling on workers and young people everywhere to stand with the dockworkers, saying “Ports for peace and the peoples, not launching pads for war.”
I’m reporting from Calabria, Italy, and I will be in Genoa tomorrow ahead of the strike to report on the ground during the mobilzation.

My brave co-defendants, who I went to jail with for our direct action against Elbit, are refusing to comply with a federal grand jury subpoena likely targeting our imprisoned comrade Fergie Chambers, despite the risk of jail time in contempt of court. By @TheGrayzoneNews:

HAPPENING NOW
Dockworkers are taking action across all six inhabited continents in a historic day of strikes against war, the arms trade and labour exploitation.
This shit is so crazy especially in consideration of the fact that the cops park their FUCKING CARS ON OUR SIDEWALKS ILLEGALLY!!!
Twitter has pushed this sentiment into my feed like crazy from a bunch of obvious liars who I don't follow.
Somebody who owns a canned fish company or something is up to some horse shit.
30 countries have told their citizens to prepare for a 3-day blackout.
@grok, what’s really happening? Why now and what’s the actual risk?
