17 years ago today, Penn & Teller called the very concept of gun control 'Bullshit.' This episode has aged as poorly as any person who can do basic math would think.

I'm still not a fan of being stuck in Austin, but I'm glad I was here to vote!

For my fellow creative folk facing your annual price gouge from Adobe, here's a friendly reminder that you should never pay their asking price. I never have. Not once.

Sounds like "loser thinking" according to your CEO Andy Yen.

Hey everyone, we have heard your concerns about Proton’s AI strategy and culture and after internal discussions, we want to share a few things with you.
First, Proton does not install tracking software on employees' laptops to measure how much AI-generated code they produce. This rumor stemmed from a misunderstanding about how MDM software works, and it's not true.
Second, our use of AI will never be at the expense of security. In the past year, contrary to what has been alleged, additional layers of security review have been added to meet the threat posed by hostile AIs scanning Proton's open-source code for vulnerabilities. Our code is open source, and its security remains open for all to verify.
We want to prove this to you, so in the interest of transparency, we will lift the hood on how we use AI internally at Proton. This includes publicly releasing and open sourcing several of the internal tools that we use, including more advanced versions of Lumo with greater capabilities, which have never been made available outside of the company.
We will also publish how code reviews and security reviews at Proton are done, and detail our AI policies, including where AI is permitted, and where it is not, and our rationale. Instead of just being able to see the final open-source code that we produce to verify security, you will also be able to assess how that code was produced.
Lastly, we are not re-interviewing our staff about AI usage, and there are no job losses due to AI re-interviews.
You can hold us to these commitments. We're aware that we haven't lived up to the high standard you ought to hold us to, and for that we can only apologize, we are sorry.
Asking why Twitter users won't leave if they hate the owner, is like asking Native Americans why they didn't leave after some white assholes took their land.
Graphic design is a slippery slope. I'm a filmmaker who never had any interest, but it kept coming up, and now I'm really digging it. I've made style guides for several clients now.
This was the first podcast cover (as well as logo) I ever made for a client.
Adobe doesn't do many things right, and deserves to have all of their IP stolen, but every once in a while, they listen to feedback... [I literally printed out the suggestion and handed it to Adobe folks in Austin]

If you see Shane Gillis, report his location. We need to keep an eye on sexual predators who haven't been convicted yet.
Couldn't have happened to a better company! @Adobe has been happy to steal our money and art for years. I hope they enjoy the stock dip

"The other day I overheard someone say 'Well, at least the transcription function still works', and I just thought. What a fucking loser! I can't wait to take his money."

If you flipped the genders, I can guarantee you that most of the people concerned about justice and safety would still be women.
The first time I heard the term "virtuous cycle" it was being used by huckster and all around nutjob Matt Ridley right before he caused Britain's first bank run in 150 years!
Can't wait Jensen!

Someone told me I shouldn’t help spread pictures of the Cornell 7 guys, because it might destroy their lives.
Sweetie, that’s what I’m counting on.
