True Story ..

#SundayYellow ..the golden leaves of a Medlar Tree

with all the Autumn colour this Acer " Orange Dream " is stubbornly holding to its green for now 🍁

i expected this lovely Liquidambar to be bare this morning after the storms ..but its surprised me and held on to its leaves and its beautiful Autumn colour 🍂🍁🍂

still some joy to be found in the garden ..its stood up to both storms better then i expected

Only one major casualty from the storm ..a large Hawthorn that came down ..but its resting on the ground and not causing a problem for now so no rush to tackle it until the weather is more settled ..not looking forward to all those thorns though

Much calmer day today ..its windy but as not as bad as the last two days and the river is more subdued ..and the sun came out 🐶🐶🐶🌞🍂

made a start on the Halloween decorations today as its miserable outside ..still more to do ..if a " holiday " has Tatt then i will have some 😂 cant resist 😁🎃👻☠️

Lots of rain today ..although not as windy thankfully ..the "brown" in the water is from all the peat it picks up as it comes down the mountain ..better day tomorrow the forecast says

spotted a rainbow on the way back from our walk 🌈

with the storm raging outside this morning the Captain decided this was the best place for him ..

we ventured out when it was calmer this afternoon ..the river is pretty full and the foot paths underwater ..makes a change from the summer
