I haven’t wanted a MacBook in a while…they never get my attention like that because I only use them for beats….but I gotta have that new one
I hate hearing songs where the rapper says his own words over a sample… when the sample is saying words
If Frank Ski dropped some beats rn they would go crazy @FRANKSKI cmon outta retirement lol
Honest to God think a lot of OG’s are in denial about Music. People wanna be entertained they just don’t care about the good old days or the culture of it. They act like that these new kids were here when Music started to decline. It’s been going on for 20 some years. lol
Legit ANYTIME I hear this James Mcmillian cat he’s up to no good
Cordae faces a $25 million lawsuit from one of the labels he's currently signed to over his collab album with Anderson .Paak.
Cordae and AP are scheduled to drop their joint project Heavy Is the Crown through Mass Appeal, Apesh*t, Hi Level and EMPIRE on Friday (Oct. 23). However, on Oct. 15, MMMG Inc. sued Cordae for copyright infringement and breach of contract.
MMMG, which operates publicly as Art@WAR was founded by attorney James McMillan in April 2018. Cordae was one of the first artists signed to the label, inking an exclusive recording contract the same year, the lawsuit states. Yet, according to the complaint, the rapper has since failed to "provide MMMG with his exclusive merchandising, touring, endorsement, and other ancillary services, and he refuses to pay MMMG its contractual share of the revenues earned by these activities."
Mass Appeal, Empire, Apesh*t Inc. are also listed as defendants in the suit. They are accused of copyright infringement and tortious interference with the recording contract
The suit claims Cordae has "made matters far worse" by entering into a new deal and recording the new album with Anderson, which MMMG again claims violates its exclusive rights with Cordae.
MMMG is asking for a jury trial and seeking $25 million.
XXL has reached out to Cordae's team and Mass Appeal for comment.
