I see this attitude a lot from people at cons too.
No, I don't think I'm "too big" to talk to you. Outside of the camera I'm incredibly socially anxious and a very nervous individual. I have a hard time talking to people in general.
I just exist. I'm quiet. There's nothing more to it than that lmao

Replying to @SenTuberville
Air Traffic Controllers are forced to retire at 56 because of concerns over declining mental capacity. Ask yourself this, if youre not comfortable with a 56 year old telling planes what to do, why the fuck should I be comfortable with a 72 year old telling a country what to do?
People are mad at me about my take on the AI editor YouTube is implementing so I'll double down:
If you'd rather use AI to edit your videos because you don't want to learn how to do your own editing, you don't deserve to call yourself a content creator.
I said what I said.

This trip reminds me there are people who genuinely show up for you, you shouldn’t take advantage of that, life IS busy, but taking time to connect with friends isn’t as taxing as people make it sound. Months without contact when you’re on your PC every day is no excuse to never acknowledge your friends just because it is busy.
If you make no time for no one else, expect them not to do the same for you, you get what you give in this world. You put out what you want back, even if you don’t receive it because we are not owed anything, but we owe our friends, the people who show up a moment of our time.
The only thing we never get back in this world… is time.
Don’t squander it or those who actually make it for you in this busy world.

I'm with Del on this. Too many subathons have devolved into "making money" without any effort nor thought to give back to the community that built their creators up.
Its wild that some creators expect their community to contribute hundreds of Twitch subscriptions just to START and THEN participate in a raffle, its diabolical. And as @CtrlAltDelrith mentioned, this is straight up illegal given gambling laws within certain regions.
I was baffled after noticing some creators doing the bare minimum and repackaged already existing emotes into limited time badges instead of offering their community something new.
To those responsible for scamming their communities like this, you should be ashamed. There is no excuse.
Involve your communities, give them something back for getting you to where you are now.
Give them incentives, REAL incentives, don't go asking for 5000 subs (equivalent to $25,000 USD) just so you can give away 5 copies of a video game. That kind of greed is disgusting.
Finally, if you're a creator reading this and what I'm saying is upsetting you, even if you're a mutual, good. Stop being lazy and do right by your fans.

I love Subtember and the concept of it for subathons but fuck me are some people going way too greedy/scummy with their community stuff.
This absolutely will piss off some of my mutuals but at least I'm not dropping names.
"Pay me hundreds of subs to have a chance at a 20 dollar product" you're supposed to REWARD YOUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING YOU. Also fyi in some states this is outright illegal.
In the EU it's highly illegal due to the AML directives to make people buy in at a chance (A lottery) for a physical prize with a price attached without registrations.
All ya'll doing stuff like that: Straight up shame on you. Stop taking advantage of your communities.
Subathon goals are supposed to be things where you're appreciative and do things like eating gross food, changing avatar, community events (Like parties), etc.
It's supposed to be a reward for the COMMUNITY for supporting you, not an exploitative FOMO scam.
"PAY ME 2000 SUBS AND YOU GET A CHANCE TO GET A DAKI" get the fuck out of here with that.
This isn't supposed to be about you. Stop being so wildly selfish, JFC. It's such a bad look and people are *absolutely* talking shit about it behind the scenes.

This is step 1 of many, btw.
They are absolutely going to replace streamers with AI streamers. Sorry to name drop - but Neuro-Sama proved this is an extremely profitable thing to do.
They were the most subscribed person on Twitch for a period. They broke 340,000 subs on Twitch. Again, AI powered.
This proved that AI can abso-fuckin-lutely replace streamers and Amazon/Twitch have 10000% noticed this. I promise you the moment this happened there were meetings about it and gears started turning that cannot be stopped without insane pushback.
There is no arguable reason you'd want to pull everyone's content and scrape it unless you were going to replicate it or use the data on trends/etc.
Streamers *really* do need to get mad. If you're streaming it is entirely likely you *will* be replaced if you don't.
If a company can replace you and not pay you 50% of the profits and hit numbers like Neuro then they ABSOLUTELY WILL.
People clearly support it. AI doesn't need to sleep. It doesn't need to rest.
It doesn't miss trends. It doesn't miss comedy. It can understand exactly what makes people laugh at all points and know the funniest way to do/engage with things.
If you let it into your space it will *absolutely* fuck everyone else over.
Again - if you're on Twitch you have time to make a LOT OF NOISE ABOUT THIS. It's genuinely serious.
I know a lot of mutuals (I won't name drop) want to just blanket ignore everything AI and act like it doesn't exist but you HAVE TO STOP HIDING.
You're at the point where you need to be really loud and encourage your community to be really loud about this if you *genuinely* care.
The man has bankrupted casinos. LITERAL money printers.
Tariffs were stupid in the first place. He has no idea what he's doing. He's simply incompetent.
I said my peace. Block me and unfollow me if you don't like it. Trump is a joke.

We're genuinely getting into the era of "You will own nothing and be happy with it"
EA/Activision started this "No hosted servers" stuff and now it's spreading with tons of money behind it.
I would argue most of Minecraft's major media success is due to hosted servers.
It's incredibly stupid that Microsoft is moving to set this as precedent and make this a thing in the industry.
700% increases on ram pricing driving everything up, hosted servers being banned, 'borrowing' licenses being pushed. Can't wait til it's 10k to buy a mid range laptop
Gotta get louder and start causing way more drama and push back against this stuff.
ESA doubled down on community servers being illegal.
In a statement to @pcgamer, @theESA wrote:
"Private servers infringe on the intellectual property (IP) rights of game publishers. Publishers reserve the right to exercise their rights against them."

This just genuinely reads as "Some of you may die, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make"
"AS LEADERS WE RECOGNIZE THE GAME FELL SHORT" no dude, leadership fell short.
Leadership failed the game. Leadership made awful decisions. Keep fucking reminding people and don't let them settle down into another cushy job in another company/IP/game they can fuck up.
Do. Not. Let. People. Forget. Their. Bullshit. The devs didn't deserve this. Fans didn't. Game didn't. Studio didn't.
I 100%, fully encourage and will personally be shit flinging towards the people responsible if they try to take their bag and leave to another project after causing all this. (Leadership responsible, not the devs. DO NOT HARASS THE DEVS. Help them)
This doesn't mean threats. Do NOT do that.
This just means making their name so toxic no studio will hire the people responsible back due to fears of backlash. Vocalize. Be loud.

I’ll have another recheck in a year to be safe. But I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and support to Bandit and I during this incredibly difficult year.
