#Sleepygirl is my new hero. This is a brilliant resource for anyone who has found themselves blundering through a life turned upside down, wondering what's happened, if they might have ME, and what to do, or not to do next. howtogeton.wordpress.com/mya…

It's a tough, mostly unsolved problem. The one idea I can offer is for this person to try to get a housing voucher. It's not easy, but if willing to look at different counties or even states, some have open wait-lists. This website has the best info. howtogeton.wordpress.com/201…

#MEAwarenessHour With the increasing number of #Covid19 #longhaulers medicals also recognise the danger of #LongCovid to develop #MECFS. If you belong to this group & wonder about ME/CFS & if you have it, you might find help here:⏬ howtogeton.wordpress.com/mya… via @sleepygirlguide

P.S. If you are ever looking for solid advice in the realm of social security I highly recommend @SleepyGirlGuide website. Much more informative than any other sources I have found.

Today I had the privilege of speaking to Ricky Buchanan. Her story is inspirational and she is passionate about her cause. You can read more about Ricky in the article below. howtogeton.wordpress.com/ric… via @sleepygirlguide

This is the best website to go to when needing help applying for Social Security Disability – SSI or SSDI. I helped a woman living in her van get on SSI her first try. howtogeton.wordpress.com/

These things aren’t *required* for the application, but the problem is if you don’t do the work yourself, it’s likely that your caseworker will only get a small fraction of records in response to their request. = more likely to be denied, because they don’t have much evidence.
The executive functioning barriers prevent so many from successfully getting disability benefits. Requesting medical records from every medical/hospital system (often times paying for them.) For application, listing ALL appts with dates/provider name, all tests & treatments.
I learned most of what I know about this from this amazing resource from chronic illness (especially #MECFS) community: howtogeton.wordpress.com/
