It was a very tough year right across Europe for growing hops. The 40 degree heat and drought conditions last summer affected yields across the board. As @Longm8 says contracting for forward supplies is very important if your recipes depend on specific varieties.

Beautiful aromas @CharlesFaram today as the latest Styrian Wolf™ batch comes off the line. Big tropical flavours, soft pellets (some lovely quality tweaks to these have been made during Covid). Also solid alphas and inexpensive to boot!

Next up was @CharlesFaram who won the 2021 "Covid Supplier Initiative" Award for their efforts to support small independent breweries during an incredibly tough trading period.
Farams also went on to win the "Supplier Associate of the Year 2021"!

If you're calling the team @CharlesFaram this week then you may speak to one of our new starters! They're a great bunch & we're really excited to have them but they'll understandably take a little more time to help you during this initial training period.

Pubs have had it tough this year. So, as good as our deals are, this week we’d rather you support your local pub (as long as you feel safe to do so). Because right now, #EveryLittleHelps.

Just seen a @MarstonsPLC dray driving through Newland on the way to deliver beer. Never realised something that seemed so normal just over a year ago would make me feel so excited! #pubsareopeningagain 🍺🍻🍻❤️
