🎵 Thrilled to finally take this step... For the first time, I’m officially opening the books for commissions for the 2026–27 season! If you lead a high school, university, community, or church choir, I’d love to write something just for you — whether it’s for mixed or treble voices, small or large ensemble, with piano, brass, strings, or unaccompanied. Whatever you can dream we can create together! Occasions could include graduation anthems, anniversary celebrations, memorials, concert openers/closers, Advent or Lent pieces… whatever your ensemble needs, I’m here to create it with you. I’ve been fortunate to write for wonderful choirs in recent years, but stepping into the “virtual marketplace” like this feels like a big, vulnerable leap. Your encouragement and trust mean the world as I take this next step! A few brand-new works are already scheduled for their spring 2026 premieres (including “Afternoon on a Hill,” “The Kraken,” “Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day?,” and “The Light We Leave Behind” Jason Frew — (can’t wait to share them!). If you’re dreaming up a special piece for your singers, I’d love to hear your ideas. Drop me a line at [email protected] or just say hello in the comments/DMs. Let’s make some beautiful music together! With gratitude, Matt
