Last month Robinhood was the most PvE environment, taking over the world, and the second coming of jesus, while Solana was dead...over...done with...caput. Now, Solana is Solana, and Robinhood is just another dead L2 in the graveyard of L2's with everyone capitulating on it. Robinhood will come back. Solana will also thrive simultaneously. If you don't understand how both can (and will) coexist, I suggest reading this.

Oil update #3: The SPR is no longer being drained. My guess is that we are getting close to structural damage levels if any more were to be drained. Diesel prices at ATH's. Russian oil being shipped to the U.S. (lolz) Iran War not going away. I think it's almost time to freak out.

You know how you look back at the history of various crises, read about how there were warning signs months ahead of time, and then ask why almost nobody saw them? That's oil right now. - Most oil bulls/doomers have capitulated. - SPR drains are masking the shortfall for now (inputs). - Refineries maxed out and barely covering destroyed infrastructure shortfall (outputs). = Multi-year-high crack spreads (refinery profits). - Strait will not go back to normal. - Can't easily rebuild destroyed refinery infrastructure. - If/when SPR's are drained, it's game over, and oil will go to $160. Until then, don't be a dumb bear. Monitor the situation.

Oil update #2: I unfortunately deleted my handy dandy excel file like a dumbass, so I will just post the official SPR reserves for now. We are not quite at "oh shit" levels, but key pieces are now in play. China has started ramping imports again + East/West pipeline closed due to attacks + SPR down to 280M...the lowest since the 1980's = Results shown in diesel flying past ATH's. This is where you start to stock up on TP & other household goods if you want to avoid inflationary prices. Not crisis level yet, but definitely keep a close eye on.

My current crypto / $BTC gameplan: I'm expecting up to another month potentially of choppy price action. With the AI stock trade fizzling out, I expect some of that money to find its way into crypto. The AI trade is boring now tho. People expect blowout earnings or else the company gets punished. Currently I'm sitting mostly in cash with smaller short term trades only. This is the time to be patient and keep both your money & your mind fresh for the next wave up, which you definitely won't want to miss. My only sizeable long term position is in my brokerage account and is $LLY. The rest is in cash waiting to be dumped into crypto options. For now...patience.

# Black October For anyone who knows me even somewhat well, it's clear that I am a 99th percentile tech optimist. However, the vibes have shifted for me quite a bit in the last 18 hours, and I feel a moral imperative to share what I'm thinking and feeling with my circles so that everyone can understand, and hopefully take seriously, what's happening right now. I think October 2026 will have many chapters written about it in the history books. You know those scenes in financial movies like Margin Call where someone realizes that they're all fucked, and no one else sees it yet? And that person feels like they're crazy, and then suddenly everyone is pulling an all-nighter in a boardroom and freaking out? Yeah, that's kind of how this is feeling right now in the SF/Bay Area/AI circles. We're 48 hours into what is being called Black October. In the last 2 days there have been several dozen cyber attacks which, in isolation, would each have been the worst to happen in an entire calendar year. Every sector from government to education to big tech and banks is being massively affected, and people are starting to freak out. In a nutshell, what's happened is that frontier AI models have gotten to a point where they are as advanced as the most sophisticated programmers, with one critical difference: they can work 24/7, and you can spin up 10,000 of them with a single command and they'll work together tirelessly until they accomplish their task. The most advanced models today are from companies like Anthropic and OpenAI, whose current best technology is so good that they haven't been able to roll it out to everyone yet because of the national security risks it poses. Meanwhile, the best open source models (where anyone can just download the model weights and do whatever they want with them, uncensored) are slightly behind the frontier but still 90-95% as capable. These models, developed primarily in China, are being used by black hat hackers to wreak havoc on the Western capitalist structure. Presumably, this has been part of China's plan the entire time, and we're seeing its implications fall out in real time. In red-pilled AI circles, we've been sharing and reading papers called things like "Situational Awareness" and "AI 2027" for the last year or so, which at the time felt a bit like near-term speculative fiction. They laid out the case for why Artificial General Intelligence (AI smarter than any human at any knowledge task) and Recursive Self-Improvement (models that are able to use themselves to get better) weren't half-baked future ideas anymore, but instead an inevitable outcome of the linear progress that's happening. These papers would then talk about things like "takeoff scenarios," trying to envision how that moment would come to be and what it would be like when it happened. It would either be a "slow takeoff" that would play out over the course of months and quarters, happening subtly and only obvious to a few. Or, it would be a "fast takeoff" where it would pretty much happen instantly, like a bit flipping from 0 to 1. From everything that I can see and am feeling, we are currently experiencing the fast takeoff scenario. Beyond the crazy security vulnerabilities that have come out recently, there have also been massive breakthroughs in life sciences, fundamental computer science, materials science, and pure mathematics that have all landed in the same time frame. While I still firmly believe that AI will be a net positive for humanity, it's more clear to me than ever that the societal and individual risk is very real, and is playing out NOW. For as much conviction as I have that this is happening, the thing that's caused me to lose sleep is that I don't really know what to do about it, or more importantly, what to tell you, reader, to do about it. So, the best I can do is make a few suggestions that have always been a good idea but are more timely now than ever: Set up 2-factor authentication for everything. I use Duo. Use a password manager across your devices. I use 1Password. Get an identity protection app set up. I use Alta. Move your IoT devices to their own network. Claude helped me do this. And last, but certainly not least, if you've been avoiding leaning into AI, see this as a catalyst to wake up and start using it. Don't just use the chat mode version of ChatGPT/Claude; click that Code/Work button and see how easily you can have AI write code to help you with your job. One of the biggest vulnerabilities was in a massively popular programming language called PHP, and the prompt that set it off was literally, "Find vulnerabilities in php." This is an unprecedented time for humanity, but as we've done with many things before, we will prevail so long as we are kind, loving, and open-minded to the world. Much love.

You ever think back to stories like Atlantis and wonder how they could have built great civilizations that get destroyed and then they couldn't rebuild them? That's us right now as we continue to outsource our brains to algos and AI. We are Atlantis.

Lots of Security incidents today, here's some practical tips for those who just wanna protect yourself: 1) UPDATE EVERYTHING - main targets are: a) Browsers - Chrome, Safari, Firefox b) OS: : Settings -> General -> software update; Linux: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade; Windows: I think there's a button. Do this for any remote home servers & Openclaw/hermes boxes c) Phones: Update it all d) Desktop apps (Slack, Cursor, Discord, etc) 2) Limit web browsing this week: Stay within walled gardens (twitter, youtube, etc); don't click random links this week. Just wait until the patches go through. Do step 1 again after a week. 3) Avoid untrusted Wifi networks until your devices are updated 4) Stay vigilant about phishing emails offering "certificate fixes" or fraud updates 5) Have an iPhone 11-16? TURN BLUETOOTH OFF for the time being until apple patches come through. 6) Code/Dev: UPDATE ALL YOUR REPOS - @charliermarsh has already updated uv 0.13.4 which reacts to the eMudra incident for uv (Python), Typesript according to Claude has equivelant. Tell your agents to go and update all your active repos to update package manager across uv, npm, bun, cargo, etc etc What advice did I miss?

$XRP looking like a good rotational play while $BTC, $ETH, $SOL all look in sync and in the same corrective pattern. The alternative to the wxy on the 4H is a nested 1/2 in which case it would be even more bullish.

Despite me bull posting $XRP, I just want to reiterate that Ripple is stupid, dumb, and a scam. However, it tends to run slightly off cycle, out of sync with main market. So, we accept the scam, make money off the scam, and then dump the scam.

A 99% reduction in time to finality. Voting txns gone. Consensus algo beefed up. This is why Solana is the best. Job's never done. IBRL
Alpenglow is live on mainnet-beta ⛰️ 🎉 Solana’s new consensus protocol: finality reduced from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, built by Anza. Why this is important 🧵

Update #4: Adding more cycle analysis to back up my previous $BTC update. Assuming the first leg up is done (99% chance imo), and if we are following history, this pullback should end around mid-Dec (~80 days). We will then grind up another 40-80 days, putting us in to 2027. One of the pullback scenarios for me includes a flat where the local high gets taken out, then we nuke again. Patience grasshopper.

My current crypto / bitcoin:native September game plan. $ETH, $SOL are the same setup. Seems too easy tho as a top would align with the back half of Sep which is historically ugly.

Update #3: More pain coming. $BTC, $ETH, $SOL are all following the same path right now. - I deleted the alternate higher path on my chart. At the moment I'm focused mostly on time. 99% of the time, $BTC corrections hit AT LEAST the 0.38 fib time, which is Oct 22nd. So, based on current PA, I'm expecting a relief bounce...maybe even a fake out to the highs, then ultimately another 2-3 weeks of downtrend into the back half of Nov or even Dec.

In reviewing my February article, I was largely correct, although a smidge early. Some updated notes: - The crypto bull market did indeed start from us simply running out of sellers, but also had the help of Robinhood chain igniting a spark. - While my onchain Z-Scores are still the best way to confirm (and oftentimes predict) L1 price movements, it is now more difficult to rely on them now due to the increased dynamics of offchain flows (ETF's / DAT's). - I missed the sudden spike in tokenized stocks. Tokenization of everything will bring the masses. AI Agents will run on crypto rails, but whether they gain adoption in a year is TBD, and probably not needed for crypto to thrive, while tokenization gains adoption. - My macro TA read on crypto as been pretty spot on for at least a few months, if not going back to Oct of last year. My current read on the market is that the AI stock trade is largely done with. That is not to say that it will crash, but will be a long bleed out. So... - Gold + Silver had its euphoric run and is now boring. - Stocks had its euphoric run and is now boring. = Leads to flows rotating into crypto which has been boring for the past few years. - I don't think we hit ATH's by year end necessarily, but the uptrend and new bull market should be more than confirmed by then. - Crypto Bears are Still Dumb.

Back in the early 2000's my computer monitor would fritz out and go crazy for 3-5 seconds before my cell phone would ring. And so, to this day, I still have this undying urge to yell at people on planes that use their cell phones - "DO YOU WANT TO KILL EVERYONE ON THE PLANE????"

Woah. Near AI integrated into Brave now.
You can now chat in @brave Leo with end-to-end encryption and verifiable privacy, powered by @near_ai Cloud. Browsers are a primary computing interface that handle all of our personal information, so it’s critical that AI is utilized in a user-owned way.

robinhood:0x18e674231a58c239dc7daedcffe15ec3a24cff5c is at least a $1B valuation token. Has been the main thing that I've been focused on over on Robinhood.

My semi-new high conviction long term play (6-9 months): Eli Lilly $LLY 1) A 150 year old drug company. This might initially sound like a detractor, but a) it's survived this long and is very profitable, and b) that's 150 years of proprietary drug & biological data. 2) They are actively embracing AI and making the most of it with their propriety data & model. If you got excited about the release of Mythos 5 drug discovery results (screenshot below), you'll get excited about this. - In Jan, they announced a partnership with NVIDIA teaming up Lilly's biologists with NVIDIA's engineers in a dedicated lab. - In Feb, they announced their LillyPod supercomputer was brought online, which is a cluster of over 1,000 GPU's. - They have TuneLab which is a drug discovery platform that smaller biotechs can plug into to run tests using Lilly's data. In return, Lilly gets the test results back. The raw data is kept excluded, but yes/no test results are sent back so that Lilly can later inquire/partner on them. - They have LillyDirect, which is a platform that connects them directly to consumers, cutting out middlemen, thereby increasing profits. 3) In the drug pipeline, they have Foundayo queued up and FDA approved. It is the first GLP-1 pill that can be taken any time of day. In addition, they have Retatrutide also in the queue (Phase 3) for weight loss. While pharma companies are generally very hit and miss, $LLY is a high probability play due to its track record and the amount of shots on goal they can take. And chart-wise, the stock is breaking out to new all time highs after consolidating for 2 years. TLDR: 150 yr history + leading in AI + expanding partner network + expanding to consumers directly + GLP-1 pill in the queue. Bullish $LLY

Update #1 $LLY: Been sitting in a starter position for a while. Seems like a good spot to load up a bunch more: - Nested structures stacking on each other - Resting on daily MA's - Probability of AI related break-thru increasing - Still highly profitable without break-thru
