‘Have quietly slipped into Melbourne…’
More than seven years after their 2018 royal tour, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have quietly slipped into Melbourne – this time as private citizens.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off their four-day trip Down Under by visiting sick kids at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
This is the third high-profile visit at the Royal Children’s Hospital this year after Queen Mary and Ed Sheeran stopped by the facility in March. > bit.ly/4cHJzUA
Delighted to see my story on Australia’s almond industry gracing the front cover of The Weekly Times today. Australian almonds have huge potential for global growth, a stellar Australian success story. Thanks Wags!

Succession planning can be tough in any business let alone when generational farms and family are involved. Meet three amazing families who’ve not just survived the succession process, but thrived. My yarn in #agjournal

One of my first jobs, as a Melb Uni student, was at John Platten’s Carlton pub. For a lifelong Hawks supporter, I couldn’t have asked for a better boss! So good to catch up at #Hawks centerary celebrations today. Love him to bits.
Go Hawks!

The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising remains one of the most powerful symbols of resistance during WWII.
82 years since the uprising began (19.4.1943), we honor their courage — a testament to the human spirit defying evil.
When I think of a country that promotes women’s freedom and equality, a country of inspiring women leaders, of women’s achievement and global advancement. A country leading the way in women’s and human rights. I think of … Iran? 🤔
Said no one ever.

Lovely to wake up on top of the
best-seller list. This is not a book about politics, it’s a story of remarkable resilience, courage & overcoming the odds. It’s been a joy & a privilege working with @JNampijinpa to bring her story to life.

Over the past 15 months, we have witnessed scenes of antisemitism we never previously thought possible here in Australia.
Today, another low was reached at a self-described “anti-racism” symposium at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).
During a presentation delivered by a speaker from the Human Rights Law Centre, Jews were characterised as being hateful, racist and xenophobic – malevolently working with politicians for nefarious purposes.
The presentation would not have been out of place in antisemitic gatherings throughout the ages.
It contained it all - laughter as Jews were the subject of public mockery, images of Rabbis as the subject of ridicule and the baseless demonisation of a community which has done nothing to warrant such hatred.
We are loathe to ever make comparisons with pre-war Germany, but these are scenes which would not have been out of place in Nazi propaganda or a 1930s Bavarian Beer Hall.
The fact that this was an anti-racism training event and that the offensive speaker was from the Human Rights Law Centre is perverse and disturbing.
Serious questions must be asked about whether taxpayer funds should continue to be provided to the Queensland University of Technology which facilitated this hateful forum or any other university which fails to take antisemitism seriously.
Federal Education Minister Jason Clare must swiftly intervene and severely sanction the Queensland University of Technology after today’s forum of hate.
If he is unwilling or unable to do so – as has been the case for the past 15 months – then the Prime Minister must himself demonstrate his commitment to stamping out antisemitism by first dealing with the Queensland University of Technology and by then addressing rampant antisemitism across the university sector.
