Okay, here we go, thread of threads. Starting with the Toy VIII thread since folks seemed to like it. I'll add more as I have time. Some threads I did as quote tweets because I'm stupid. As I get time I'll redo those and add them. Usual caveats, don't reply here, blah blah blah
Love these things. Ford should have built thousands of them

NEWS | Potential Democratic sweep is raising stakes for automakers' EV strategies and dealer inventory planning:
Polymarket puts the odds of a Democratic sweep at 72%, and Democrats could use the Congressional Review Act to overturn rules easing gas-powered truck and SUV sales.
That could put pressure on automakers that scaled back their EV plans while increasing investments in gas-powered vehicles.
The Big Three have already taken a $52.1 billion hit from their EV strategy pivots, including Stellantis' $26 billion charge, per Yahoo Finance.
For dealers, changes to EV incentives and regulatory requirements could influence vehicle availability, inventory planning, and consumer demand.

📍Broken Arrow, OK - FBI Charged Couple with producing CSAM Material with 2 Year Old.
After a years long investigation, the FBI has announced the arrest of Dakota and Willie Horn, who are both accused of making child sexual abuse material with a 2-year-old child they were babysitting, then putting it on the dark web.
Investigators say after discovering the CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) on the dark web in 2022, years of digital analysis eventually helped them identify the child victim and the two suspects in Tulsa County.
The FBI says in the videos, the child’s face was visible but the woman’s was not. But, the woman had a distinct tattoo on her arm and wedding ring on her finger.
In 2023, investigators say they found more videos of the same victim being abused by a man with distinct freckles all over his body.
Documents say in one video the child was being sexually abused by the man, and a woman can be heard saying sexual things and when the child starts crying, the woman slaps the child and says “shut up.”
Investigators say they used the suspects tattoo, ring, a YouTube video playing in the background and other objects in the bedroom to help narrow their search. Investigators say they observed items in the background of the CSAM videos and matched those to pictures on Dakota and Willie’s social media pages.
Investigators say they also used age progression technology and did an open image search on Facebook and Instagram, to identify the child.
The suspects were arrested in Tulsa County at the end of October 2026.
When questioned, Dakota admitted they had babysat the child and admitted she and her ex-husband. Willie Horn, had made the videos and said there was another victim.
When questioned, Willie Horn identified Dakotas tattoos in the videos and other items, but denied knowing anything about child sexual abuse.
Investigators say they arrest and prosecute people all the time who download and possess child sexual abuse material, but they say going after the people who are creating the material is virtual. They say the child sex abuse doesn’t stop after stopping the record button, the victims are re victimized every time someone views the picture or video.

Myrtle closed in the '90s, but not before building the Grand Prix GT. Acceleration mods were minimal; true duals and 3.73 gears. The car was given the Grand National paint treatment. Altogether a solid effort for the time. Only around 30 were built. Im not aware of any survivors
Myrtle Motors was a Pontiac dealer in Queens who not only did high volume of factory hot rods, they built their own
Tasca was Ford's east coast distribution center for the 135 Lightweight Cobra Jets and Bob Tasca was a personal friend of Hank the Duece. Tasca, unlike most super dealers, survived the 60s and still exists today. And its still involved in racing and high performance
Tasca Ford was one of the highest-volume super dealers of *any* make. They were into racing from the drop. They swapped big FE's into Fairlanes for the F/X classes two years before Ford built the Thunderbolt and Bob Tasca was one of the main drivers behind the Cobra Jet Mustang
