100% correct here Sal. I’ve long argued for the NFL to wait until AFTER the appeals process is over to announce fines and suspensions. Almost every fine/suspension is appealed by the player and lots are reduced or taken away. The player is still judged on the original news regardless, which is not always right.

For about 48 hours Sam Franklin was not only accused, but judged to be a guy who spit at an opponent, even though he didn’t. And because of that, his name will always be linked to doing that, and many won’t see (or care) that he didn’t. That sucks.

NFL fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in an offensive demonstration Sunday vs. Miami. “Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter. Juszczyk, nicknamed “Juice”, already has appealed the fine.
