The IUCN Species Survival Commission joins UNEP's plea for the release of Ms Bayani. Given recent pardons issued by Iranian authorities, we urge clemency and her safe return home, as well as @IUCNssc members and fellow conservationists imprisoned in Iran.
It has been 5 years since our former @UNEP colleague #NiloufarBayani was imprisoned in #Iran. Taking note of pardons recently issued by Iranian authorities, I renew my plea for her release. Env. conservationists are critical to making #PeaceWithNature.

Cameras set at the snow leopard kill #EncounterUncia also documented several scavengers, like ravens and foxes. This supports that snow leopards could be important keystone species providing food for many scavengers in this extreme environment. More research on this is needed.

We set a camera-trap at the kill site #EncounterUncia and recorded hundreds of images of snow leopard feeding. To our surprise, another snow leopard came to feed four days later. One of first observations of several snow leopards using the same kill. Can you spot the differences?
