If you were a kid like me growing up in Australia in the 60s you would probably remember a very popular TV show from Japan called The Samurai which featured a samurai warrior named Shintaro Akikusa…

Wishing a very happy birthday to the Maestro of the Harp, Mark Feltham - a supremely talented harmonica player, a solid presence in the Rory Gallagher band, and musical kindred spirit and great friend to Rory. #markfeltham #rorygallagher #blues

Today, we celebrate Rory’s performance at the Temple Bar Blues Festival, voted by our followers earlier this year as the highlight of the final decade in Rory’s career. And rightly so, as this incredible clip of Tattoo’d Lady attests. #rorygallagher #1990s #blues #dublin

Some great photos of Rory at the Langenau Open Air Festival, taken by Wolfgang Gürster on this day in 1994. A review from Neu Ulmer Zeitung notes how Rory "fascinates just as much as he did 20 years ago" & call him "the star of the evening." #rorygallagher #blues #1990s
