🚨CAN YOU HELP?🚨 We had fewer funds than usual this month, and after applications came in quicker than ever, we've been left with 16 grants we can't pay out, meaning we're short ~£560. Any amount you can donate helps to cover the next grant on the list. bit.ly/SolCam

We're so excited to announce that Cambridge Solidarity Fund has redistributed over £100,000 since we started in October 2021! However, there's ever-greater need for support in the form of no-strings-attached cash. Can you help us redistribute even more? cambridgesolidarityfund.uk

What he says here is correct, unconditional cash grants are the most efficient way to help people. But don’t forget that he spent his time in parliament voting against helping people.
Giving cash is the most effective and efficient way of addressing extreme poverty. It is the opposite of patronising aid and it gives the recipient dignity and choice. (An interview with @BBCNews) givedirectly.org

We're reopening applications tomorrow at 7pm, and from now on will open applications at 7pm every second Monday of the month. If we can raise another £29 in the next 32 hours, we can give out one more grant than we currently have the funds for... bit.ly/SolCam

Oh and by the way, no big deal but we've now disbursed... *OVER £75,000* ...in small grants to people in Cambridge. Thanks to everyone who's helped make that happen 🥳

Because of the change to how often recipients can claim grants, many of our regular applicants are ineligible this month, so we still have grants left. We know there are people in CB1-5 who'd find £40 helpful - if that's you or someone you know then... bit.ly/SolCamApply

We're reopening applications at 7pm on Monday 12th. Our funds have been running out ever faster and we've reluctantly taken the decision to reduce the frequency we can give grants to recipients to every three months.

Our next round of funding is tomorrow, and we have only enough for 50 grants - the least we've had in many months. If you can contribute any amount at all, please do. Anything helps. bit.ly/SolCam

Thank you to Z for a generous donation today! If anyone can drop us another fiver in the next half-hour that would make up another £40 grant... bit.ly/SolCam

What this all means is that demand has risen far faster than donations, leading to this month's decision. We still expect funds to run out within a few minutes this month. We need support more than ever. Can you sign up for a monthly donation - from £1/mo? bit.ly/SolCam

If not, can you tell your friends, family or colleagues about the fund if they have a bit of money to spare? Do you have the capacity to organise a small fundraiser? Can you retweet our posts to your followers? Everything helps us help more people in need in Cambridge.
