I want everyone to STOP harassing them. 🥲🥀 As an artist, I believe coloring is flexible. The promotional art isn't just lighter in skin tone; the hair and clothes are lighter, too. I think we should look at the overall color palette instead of focusing solely on skin tone.

The problem was the lack of clear context in the original post, combined with color-picking comparisons to older art. They might not have intended to accuse anyone of whitewashing, but the presentation made it easy to misinterpret it that way, and things spiraled from there.

But this has gone too far. People are losing sight of the actual issue and turning to personal attacks. I'm genuinely sorry that my post may have contributed to this getting so big. Please stop.Don't ruin someone's life over this. Fandoms are already becoming so toxic.💔

Speaking as an artist, not everyone keeps sampling skin tones from old ref, so mistakes can happen. This is a model and its colors can be inaccurate. I don't think the color need to match perfectly. Do you realize how many artists have left this fandom over nitpicking like this?
