Celeste became such a hard act to follow that its own studio ended up cancelling Earthblade in 2025. The developers admitted the pressure to make something bigger and better had become exhausting. Now Celeste co-creator Noel Berry is making City of None with his brother Liam, featuring five city sectors connected by train. After watching that studio lose one game to impossible expectations, I really hope these two get to finish something they love without having to recreate the magic of Celeste.
