Rough day. 😬 After Ella left, Mom had a mini KitKat & went to sleep by 8:30 pm ... I'm glad Ella's gone for the day & hope Mom & I have a good evening. 🙂

Celebrating Ms Marion Ross' birthday has brought me back to life on Threads with 100 ish views thus far. 🤔 WTF?!!

Housekeeping is not the priority in their job here. I suspect they've had more housekeeping gigs in their pasts than caregiving positions. How you gonna ignore the person you are being paid to provide care for to go sweep the living room floor? 🤔

When she came into the living room with the broom, I said pointedly: "Can you go see why Mom is calling help?" Do you see? I shouldn't have to prompt. Sweeping isn't important. Mom IS! I can sweep the damn floor myself, do the dishes, wash surfaces. Caregiving is the main gig!

Sandra HAS BEEN helpful during my time being sick & trying to distance myself from Mom in the daytime to keep the germs away. Today, with Ella, I've been back & forth to Mom's bedroom all day. & a 2nd time I've observed Ella ignoring Mom calling so she could go sweep the house.

I'm not surprised she's dozing off. When she's determined to stay awake all day, she usually falls asleep around 7. I feel Sandra is more working as a team & Ella is working her own agenda, which some Xs counters my efforts. Lack of presence of mind & common sense isn't helpful.

Mom decided she was pretty much staying up all afternoon, & so, is not having a great day. 🙁 Even still, after she told Ella she wasn't taking anymore meds, I went & got her to take her 7pm meds w no problem. Now she seems to be falling asleep but needs to get changed at 7:30.
