Too many people today struggle to see the value of emotions in the workplace. In society, we hear phrases like "only the strong survive," "business is dog eat dog," or worse, "nice guys finish last."
It makes people think that their emotions are a weakness. Ironically, I also think that only the strong survive, but those who are truly strong are the ones who dare to lean into their human emotions and refine their emotional intelligence.
It can be a challenging process where you might uncover insecurities and fears instilled in your upbringing, but eventually, your life will feel lighter.
