We're coming to a city near you 📍
After hosting thousands of people over the years, we keep hearing the same thing. People want focused education they can actually use, with peers facing the same challenges.
Not just founders. The individual contributors doing the work every day.
That's why we built the Commerce Roundtable Roadshow.
Last year's pilot Retention Roadshow proved it. One attendee told us it paid for their ticket 100x.
So in 2027 we're going bigger. A full week in three cities over three months:
🌴 LA: Jan 19, 20, 22
🤠 Austin: Feb 22, 24, 26
🗽 NYC: Mar 15, 17, 19
Each city covers Acquisition, Retention, then AI & Ops, with one topic per day.
Shows run 8 AM to 2:30 PM with 100 to 125 people in the room. Expert talks, small-group roundtables, and breakfast and lunch on us ☕
Early bird is live! Use code EARLYBIRD for 50% off one show or all three in your city 👇

Somewhere in your welcome flow is a hero shot of a product you don’t even sell anymore.
Go check, I’ll wait.
Mine ran untouched for a year at a time... the same 3 emails, built on some random Tuesday and shown to every subscriber I've ever had.
We call that “set it and forget it” like it’s a feature and it's not.
The forgetting is the part that's actually costing you.
So watching @getallanai run a welcome flow kind of broke my brain.
Every asset is tagged to the product it shows.
You’ve been browsing the blue one? Your email 2 hero is the blue one.
I browsed the black one? Mine’s black.
Built per person, at send time.
Meanwhile it’s watching the whole audience too. It tracks which heroes hit, which subject lines get opened, which offers convert.
New subscribers automatically get whatever’s winning right now.
The flow literally rebuilds itself while it runs.
An A/B test hands you one winner... eventually. This runs the entire tournament nonstop on every element, FOREVER.
Start with your welcome flow.
Plug @getallanai in free for 30 days and watch email 2 start matching what each person’s been browsing.

Shoppers cut their BFCM budgets 30% and nobody told your forecast...
@omnisend recently asked 4,363 people and honestly the answers explain a lot.
Same amount of people shopping as last year but the $1,000+ crowd?
Half of them are gone and the average US budget went from $479 to $336.
Which means mid sized carts are the whole game now.
Three things I’d do before November:
1. Rebuild the calendar for volume not whale hunts. More mid cart offers and every send earning its spot.
2. Quit leading with discount depth. Half of shoppers will chase the biggest number no matter what you do and that bidding war will eat your margin alive. Win on relevance instead.
3. Put BNPL right up front on anything pricey. Around 40% of shoppers say they’ll happily use it.
And important to know this year 1 in 5 are using AI to hunt coupons now so those "secret codes" aren't so secret.
Check out the full report, it will do more for your Q4 plan than your last three strategy calls.

I used to brag about the exact feature I'm about to talk you out of...
We shipped multivariate testing at my ESP in 2022, and we thought we were geniuses.
Subject lines, heros, CTAs, all testable in combination. We were so proud.
And look, at the time it was genuinely a big deal.
We were so proud of finding the best email. Nobody asked the better question: best for who?
@getallanai is the answer to that one.
No winners.
It just keeps assembling the best combination per subscriber, every single send, from blocks your designer builds once. Heros, copy, offers, product blocks...
Based on data, it delivers a unique email for that individual subscriber
It learns the way ad platforms learn.
And it sits right on top of your favorite ESP's: Omnisend and Klaviyo.
Multivariate testing is so 2022.
Allan is what it grows up into.

We're coming to a city near you!
After great success of last year's Retention Roadshow, @iamshackelford and I realized the demand for highly focused educational events.
Not for Founders only, but for the Individual Contributors that seek education beyond a post on social media or a community.
That's why we're hitting 3 cities for 1 week each in Q1 to help kick off 2027!
We'll kick it off with Los Angeles in Jan, doing an entire week dedicated to 3 separate topics over 3 days: Acquisition, Retention and AI & Ops
Then Austin in Feb
And NYC in March
These will be expert led with plenty of roundtable and networking to help brand and agency founders, operators and marketers.
Each day will be roughly 6.5 hours long and we'll fuel them with plenty of drinks and snacks along with breakfast and lunch!
The @CommerceRound Roadshow series is set and dates and details are found here: commerceroundtable.com/roads…
Hope to see you at one or more!
Kicking off this weekend with a long walk with the pups in this chilly morning...
The plans are SET for Commerce Roundtable Roadshow and we're kicking off the year in LA, Austin & NYC
@iamshackelford will be hitting the road to deploy weekly local city meetups, 3 unique events a week, 6.5 hours of learning about either acquisition, retention or AI & Ops with a room of 100-125 of your peers
Plus, we'll feed you a delicious breakfast and lunch and provide plenty of time for networking and roundtables.
LA - Jan 19-22
Austin - Feb 22-26

Off to burn some tokens and get some R&R!
Have a great weekend!
Email is a hard habit to quit.
I spent years building an ESP.
I lived every part of it...
Deliverability fires, 2 am support queues, pricing debates, BFCM fires...the works.
When I stepped away from that chapter, I figured I'd get some distance from the space.
That lasted a few months.
Once you've built in email, you evaluate every platform you touch.
The one that kept impressing me was @omnisend
The product is genuinely good.
Email, SMS, and web push run as one automation instead of three bolted on tools, and the pricing stays reasonable as your list grows.
But the real reason I partnered up with them, the team.
They genuinely care about their customers and what they're building the way the best brands care about theirs.
And their support answers on every plan, including free because that's just who they are.
So it was only natural I'd end up partnering with them.
Some people retire from email.
Apparently I just change seats.
If you're shopping ESPs, I'd recommend you start here.
