This map is a misrepresentation. What is put down as Hindi speaking region actually has many languages such as Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Maithili etc which are languages in their own right, distinct from Hindi. They are not Hindi dialects.

The divided colours of India. I like the 3 language formula: English and Hindi and the regional language. Let people learn and use languages they are comfortable with. Wondering whether India's problems are due to the language issue? We do not have a unifying language.
